Positano B&B is on an acre of beautifully landscaped grounds with a pool and waterfall. There are many private areas to relax and read or be entertained by the desert wildlife. This bedroom has a double bed and french doors opening onto a wonderful flagstone patio with an upholstered bench for reading and a little chiminea fireplace for those chilly evenings. So romantic! The flowers and shrubs were especially chosen to attract butterflies.
The newly updated bathroom is down a short hallway and would be shared with the guest in Sweet! if that room is booked as well. We keep it sparkling clean and the shower is wonderful.
We live in a quiet residential neighborhood with meandering streets and gentle hills. It is a great place to walk or jog. A few blocks away you can jump on the Rillito River Park Trail which is a popular running/biking/skating/walking trail that crosses the entire city. We have a couple bikes here and we'd be happy to loan them to you.
Tucson National Golf Resort is about a mile away if you like golfing. Or eating.. the restaurant is nice too. Tucson is full of fabulous golf courses and hiking trails and all kinds of outdoor activities.
Foothills Mall is about a mile away for the fashionista in you. There are countless restaurants in the neighborhood as well. The I-10 freeway is conveniently close to us.
If you ask, I would be happy to email you a link listing all Tucson events for the time you are interested in visiting... there's always a lot going on in the Old Pueblo.
We're not big on rules and since our guests so far have been very considerate we haven't felt a need to lay down any rules. I have had people ask about using our kitchen and that is something that we would rather not do. So there you have it:
Rule #1: no kitchen privileges.
However, we are happy to clear some refrigerator space for a few items that you might need to bring.
Rule #2: Okay, one more. No smoking in the house.
JR and Ruthann were absolutely lovely hosts who graciously opened up their very comfortable, clean and stylish home to us. We enjoyed our delicious breakfast out on the patios and soaked up the positive desert vibes in good company (both human and furry). Their place is conveniently located ~20 minutes from downtown Tucson as well as the Saguaro National Park--so very central if you are looking for a bit of both worlds. Highly recommended and a great and easy experience overall. Don't miss out if you are looking to stay with stellar hosts in the Tucson area!
Ruthann and JR have a beautiful home and are beautiful people! Our stay at Sweet Too was wonderful and we would not have changed anything. Great location, and close to excellent hikes and restaurants. Their home was very welcoming and the hospitality was great. JR has done an amazing job on the landscaping, giving each room its individual and private patio to relax and enjoy the perfect Arizona weather; while Ruthann has added her special touch to each room with vibrant colors and patterns, making their home very inviting. Breakfast each morning was delicious and fresh with a variety of choices. They were so helpful when we had questions and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and hikes.
Thank you both for allowing us into your home. It was a great experience staying with you and getting to know you both! I wish you both the best.

oh this is the first time I write comments on airbnb, since I found that our host, Ruthann, is super nice and the place is so fantastic if you love spacious, tiny and warm place.
Daily breakfast, you no need to worry about where to eat, sometimes you will have suprises with fresh baked croissant!
Kitty the dog is so lovely, I like her so much.
So I will definitely recommend to everybody to Tucson! Cheers!!
Thanks Ruthann for the great place!
Ruthann was such a wonderful host. The house is quite beautiful, and we felt very welcomed in their home. We had a great time in Tucson, and recommend staying here to anyone coming through town.
This was our first time staying at airbnb and it was a truly rewarding experience. It has great Southwestern flair and is located in a quiet neighborhood in the northwest area of Tucson, yet only minutes from major roads, shopping, and good restaurants. Also very convenient to visit the many tourist attractions in the area. Each room was clean and beautifully furnished and had its own outdoor patio adjoining the back garden. A central atrium with large cacti and colorful decor brought Nature indoors, and the stucco wall around the front of the property provides privacy. Breakfast was just right - fresh coffee, fruit, yogurt, healthy breads and cereals. Ruthann and JR are gracious and generous hosts and we especially enjoyed their company!
I'll start by saying that this was our first utilization of AirBNB, and our stay here was fantastic! In the business sense, the space and price are amazing. The rooms a re clean and spacious, and so very comfortable. The home is hands down lovely! The best part of our stay though certainly had to be the time we spent with JR and Ruthann.
Every morning there was a lovely breakfast with fresh fruit and homemade juices available to us, but the conversations were the best. JR and Ruthann are accommodating with feeling invasive, and outside of the business, are just wonderful people. I know mine and my girlfriends stay were made better by our time spent at Sweet Too!
Being our flagship venture with Airbnb, I don't know that we could have asked for a better place and better hosts to break us in.
In my next trip to Tucson, this will be the first place I look to book.
Ruthann and JR are generous, laid-back hosts. My husband and I were delighted to share coffee, conversation and breakfast each morning with our hosts. (And healthy green smoothies). All of the rooms are lovely and have patios located right outside of each room. The yard is beautifully landscaped. We would have loved to spend more time outside, but the weather was colder than usual. The neighbor is on a nice side of Tucson and most area attractions are within a 25-30 minute drive. I highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a home away from home experience.

I am retired (yippee!) American Airlines. My husband JR and I love having guests in our home. JR plays guitar for fun and creates beautiful landscapes for a living.
If we could travel ALL the time we would. We have been on some great trips and especially love Mexico, Guatemala and Spain. There are so many places yet to experience .
We can't travel all the time, so lucky for us that we live in one of the most beautiful places on earth...the Sonoran desert. We both love to immerse ourselves in creative projects here at home and so our surroundings have become this endless Home Improvement Project. We figured out a long time ago that we like the process more than the end result, and we'll never ever run out of ideas.
There is usually music around this house. JR is often working on a blues song or jazzy instrumental and he loves an audience.
I've started a little jewelry business and I dream of traveling to fun places, staying with Airbnb folks along the way and funding it with my jewelry money. Tucson has a wonderful International Gem Show in the spring so it's a perfect source for my beads and charms.
Tucson also has fabulous hiking trails so we hike em. There are wonderful yoga studios so I vinyasa in em. Biking trails abound and we like to do that too.
Our dog Lucy gets along well with people. She may bark when you first arrive but she is all bark, no bite.
So, there. Now you have a little info about us. Now come on down!
