Interaction with Guests
I live in the same complex so am super accessible for all questions, needs and concerns of my guests. I do however understand that many people like their privacy and completely respect that too!
Accessibility to town, local sights, the beach and national park. Convenient location yet quiet and nestled away in the jungle!
We are just steps away from the bus stop that serves downtown for cheap eats and grocery stores as well as the bus stop for higher end restaurant, the beach and the national park. Taxis are easy to flag down too. There is a small free of charge parking area too for those that travel with a rental vehicle.
No smoking inside the apartment
What an amazing experience!! The apartment is great, very well equipped and inside a super nice apartment complex with a great pool and just takes a few minutes to get anywhere.
Hazel and her boyfriend gave us a great introduction to the area and things to do and even booked our tour to Manuel Antonio and a rafting tour. All recommendations also in terms of restaurants were very helpful!
Extremely professional and super friendly hosts, I absolutely recommend this place and would stay here again!
Everthing was as promised. Very helpful re bus loccations, good places to go and see. Manuel Antonio NP well worth trip and thanks to hosts went early in the day to avoid heat and crowd s. Location was not right in town so will need to take bus which was very easy. Would stay here again. : ) Thank again !
We had a fantastic time staying here! Hazel and her boyfriend Jonathan were both very nice and welcoming people, happy to share their knowledge about the area. I highly recommend staying here!
The apartment was well-equipped with everything we needed and was conveniently located near a bus stop for easy and fast access to both Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Awesome location just far enough away from the main road to be extremely tranquil. Hazel was extremely helpful in giving us very detailed directions of how to get there by bus, so we had no problems finding it. (The bus around town is super affordable -- 315 colones/about 60 cents -- so we relied on it alone when we stayed there.) It's also probably the safest/most secure place we stayed during our whole trip in Costa Rica.
The pool was nice and relaxing, a perfect way to cool down after a hot day in the park or at the beach. We also so lots of animals while we were there! Right at the bus stop, a macaw flew overhead and a group of maybe 8 monkeys climbed above us on the electrical lines. We also saw monkeys during our hike to the private beach that they showed us how to get to. And of course there were plenty of animals to see in the park, too!
We had a lovely, relaxing stay. Would definitely stay here again!
This was the perfect apartment in the perfect location for the Manuel Antonio/ Quepos area. It was more like a one bedroom than a studio and it was very helpful with Hazel right upstairs. It was just a sort walk to the bus station that took you anywhere you needed to go. The fan kept the rooms cool so a/c was not necessary even though it is optional.
We stayed for a week and enjoyed our entire time in the area. We loved having the pool to cool off at the end of our day. I would definitely stay here again.
We loved our stay at Hazel & Jonathans place! They were very helpfull with everything.
The house was great the pool was even better and the beach and the tours are very nice.
We found Hazel to be friendly and very helpful, (the go to girl). The grounds were kept clean, picture perfect, and gato is real friendly. After a day in the jungle the pool was the perfect temperature, which we had to ourselves most of the time except when the monos came to get a drink. We found the best way to travel was the city bus system which was just a few steps away, and only 60-70 cents.

I landed in Manuel Antonio from the UK in 2007 on an adventure to study spanish and scuba dive. I fell in love with the country, the culture, the language and wanted to explore more. I made my travels around Latin America and somehow always ended up back in Costa Rica to visit friends. 2.5 years after my first visit I made the decision to stay and have loved it ever since. The air is fresh, the sun is always shining and people live day-to-day based on "pura vida" - the national phrase which means "pure life"!
