About this listing
Grand Solmar has consistently received the highest rating from Conde-Nast magazine as one of the finest resorts in the world. Note: due to the devastation caused by hurricane Odile, in September 2014, there is reconstruction going on.
This is a private residence in Grand Solmar at Land’s End at the tip of the Baja Peninsula. The junior suite has a full kitchen offering the latest conveniences and marble countertops, iHome sound systems and unobstructed views of the Pacific ocean. While in your room, enjoy spa services and 24-hour room service.
Onsite, enjoy delicious treats while refreshing in the clean waters of infinity-edge pools or unwind in style at the full-service spa. Take photos of the magnificent views of the cliffs that hang over the Pacific Ocean and then meet new friends during nightly parties and performances.
The suite sleeps four and is available year round. Contact us with the dates that you would like to travel and we will respond immediately with availability. Minimum stay of one week.
These condominiums are selling out faster than expected, so much so that there's been a price increase of %40 for current buyers. The increase is due to the incredibly high demand for these properties. This is an upscale, luxury vacation for a fraction of what you'd pay for similar amenities and accommodations. Also, Grand Solmar is considered one of the finest resorts in the world and to make it even more convenient there are non-stop flights directly from New York City to Cabo! Enjoy!
The spa, the infinity pools, the bar, the grounds and restaurants (meals are not included). I can arrange pickups to and from the airport for $38 roundtrip per person.
Interaction with Guests
Not at all. I can be reached by phone, email or text with any problems, questions or concerns you may have but this is a resort where you have total privacy and autonomy.
I love everything about this resort and the people who have visited as my guests do too!
The downtown area is a 15 minute walk from the resort.
Other Things to Note
There's snorkeling, diving, swimming, sailing and great dining.
As this is a private residence in a world class resort, I don't have an extensive list of house rules. You are free to come and go as you please. maid service is provided every day. iIwill say that common courtesy will make your vacation here a wonderful experience. Please do tip the house cleaning staff if you're satisfied with their performance, which I'm sure you will be. Any problems or concerns that may come up can be handled by the extremely friendly concierge and the people at the front desk. Your satisfaction is their priority.
Please don't ask me if the price is flexible. It's not. This has been voted one of the finest resorts in the world by Conde Nast for several years in a row) $435 a night (during the off season) for two people is very inexpensive for a week in paradise! During peak season, if there is availability the price is higher. Thanks for your understanding.
There's so much to do in the cabo area. have a great time!
We had a phenomenal stay at Anna's listing in Cabo San Lucas! Anna is a fantastic host who was just a quick text or email away if anything was needed or if we had any questions. Anna helped us arrange transportation to and from the airport and also offered to assist us with arrangements for groceries. Her communication and correspondence was helpful and very much appreciated. The resort is fantastic! Grand Solmar was recently built and has all the amenities that you could want for a relaxing vacation. The rooms are nicely appointed and very comfortable. The kitchen has everything needed for a quick bite or something more elaborate. The room and the resort grounds are incredibly clean. The resort has 3 pool areas that were fantastic. We spent quite a bit of time lounging by the infinity pools overlooking the ocean sipping on margaritas. When we wanted a bit of a change, we went to the downtown area which was about a 15 min walk away.
Overall we had a fantastic trip and would highly recommend Anna and this listing to anyone!
Anna was a fantastic host who went the extra mile to help confirm and co-ordinate our stay in Mexico at the last minute during a very busy time of year.
Cabo at this time of year is a fantastic place to visit and the property is wonderful and very high-end. Great facilities, close to town but on a very private and beautiful ocean beach area with whales / crashing waves etc. Fantastic pools for swimming but no ocean swimming due to rough conditions. Great beaches for swimming / snorkeling are quite accessible via short car drive / taxi so it's a good trade-off.
Property is still constructing a new building which makes some units noisy during the day. Strongly recommend working with the hotel to make sure you're away from the construction which should be easy to do as long as it's not high season.

About the Host, Anna
I take pleasure in accommodating guests and enjoy the opportunity to meet fellow travelers. Being an avid traveler myself, i appreciate the idea of staying in a home with people who know the city I've traveled to. I just spent six weeks in Greece this summer and used airbnb for the first time. I appreciated the convenience of having someone to help steer me toward better restaurants in my price range, suggesting attractions and museums that might not be included in the guide books and insights for excellent shopping are things I was happy to have provided and I want to do the same for my guests.. I love trying new restaurants, frequenting my favorite ones, biking along the Hudson River, movies, the theatre and exploring the city I've lived in for most of my life. I never lose my appreciation for it's diversity. Welcome!
