Built in 1890 this Amsterdam crooked house is located on a peaceful green square but smack in the city centre with all important marks within walking distance. Studio in local area with a large private terrace. Multiple tram lines and 24/7 taxi line.
We are proud home owners of our 'crooked old Amsterdam style house' located on Frederiksplein, an oasis of peace and green but right smack in the city center.
Typical about this Amsterdam property is that it is narrow but goes back about 25 meters, which gives you surprisingly more space than when viewed from the front.
Walking up the narrow staircase you arrive on the first floor and our lovely studio apartment. (We also rent out the top two floors, see other listing)
THE STUDIO APARTMENT
There is twin bed and comfortable sofabed(both 140x200cm) which are divided by antic glass sliding doors.
Lots of sun on the terrace(15m2) for a breakfast, lunch or BBQ! We have recently fully renovated the kitchen and bathroom.
Access to your apartment with private everything: bathroom and kitchen and large terrace. Fast WiFi. Only thing you share is the outside main entrance, up the staircase you'll find two doors with locks, one leads to your apartment.
We always try to do a personal check in.
During your stay we are a knock/e-mail/phone call away and very much respect your privacy to make sure you feel at home. =)
Our location is awesome. On a peaceful green square but right around the corner of the city centre. And at the edge of a lovely local district called "de Pijp".
Literally just a walk into the craziness: Turn right onto Utrechtsestraat a "posh" shopping street with nice boutiques, shops, bars and restaurants. At the end is Rembrandt square a busy nightlife area, leading into the main shopping area, red light district etc.
Go towards the Pijp, stroll towards the major museums; Take a walk over the "Albert Cuyp" outdoor market and you'll end up on Museum square!
Everything is within walking distance. If your feet might get tired and you are not so much of a cyclist, there are several tram lines that stop right on our square. (tram 4, 7 & 10)
Amsterdam is one of the most expensive cities for street parking(€5,- an hour) If you are planning to drive into Amsterdam we strongly suggest Ajax Arena Parking garage for €8,- a day. (Free public transport ticket back into town)
We make sure to email you with detailed information with useful links on how to get to our place by cab or public transportation.
Also 24/7 taxi line right on the square!
Fresh linen and towels are included. Also a hairdryer. Basics toiletries; shampoo, shower gel etc provided.
Please pack light! As a lot of Amsterdam houses, ours also has a steep narrow staircase. Please take this in consideration when booking. And then allow us to help carry up your luggage!

My husband and I stayed in Stacey and Jason's first floor apartment for two weeks and were truly delighted with the experience. The neighborhood: beautiful, quiet, not "touristy" but within walking distance of everything. We took the tram only four times during our entire stay (walking was the way to see Amsterdam for us). The apartment: light-filled with huge windows, very comfortable bed, spacious for two people, fully-equipped and modern kitchen. The washer and dryer were extremely useful during our long stay. The overall look and atmosphere were charming. Any negatives at all? the bathroom sink is a little small. And as long as the guests upstairs are considerate about not running up their separate staircase or in their apartment, our apartment is very quiet. Stacey and Jason were away during our stay. But Stacy's sister Nicole lives next door. She and their mother Mildred were extremely nice and helpful when we had questions or needed something. Would we stay there again? YES!! YES!!
My family and I had a great time at Stacey's apartment. It was clean and quite near from many attractions. Her sister Nicole was very lovely with us, they borrow us a baby cot, we could cook almost everyday, great kitchen! I recommend this place!!!
This is a great apartment in a really good location. It is close to the tram, but I found I walked everywhere as it was central enough to do so.
The bathroom is tiny but quite functional, definitely only room for one person at a time though.
I had a few issues with the tv not working (not too big a deal as I was not in Amsterdam to watch tv). Also the internet completely stopped working so I didn't have this for the last few days of my stay. This was a little frustrating, but I believe the owners are sorting this out and changing providers.
Nicole (the owner's sister) was really helpful and did what she could to try to assist wherever possible.

Stacey and Jason's apartment was nice and in a great location - next door to a supermarket and coffee shop, and very close to the city center. The kitchen was lovely and new and a pleasure to cook in. And the bed was very comfortable. We would recommend to anyone. Thank you for having us.
Stacey & Jason have been the best of host and made our stay in Amsterdam absolutely perfect. They're exactly what makes AirBnb so great : easy to communicate with, while offering a nice place at a perfect location for an affordable price. Thank you !
