Pros: Location is central to the freeways and eateries without the hustle and bustle. Laundry and cleaning service staff were easy to get a hold of and helpfull.
Cons: Not enough blankets for the advertised beds, old coin operated laundry, rusty chefs knife for 'cooking', old disorganized cooking supplies, no sliding screen door to keep out bugs, broken blind slats.
This home is a converted two story home with two, possibly three, units. To access this room you need to walk to the side of the house that is a gravel walkway with no lighting. The door is a sliding glass door with no screen to keep the bugs out or enjoy the night Hawaiian air. The laundry and cleaning service were rock stars when it came to our requests for blankets, as the advertised beds had no blankets for them. The AC was a champ at keeping the space cold. Homeowner was either off island or doesn't live at this location thus the laundry and cleaning service for requests. The water was heavy with a mineral taste, we bought water to make coffee. The 'kitchen' is an electric hot plate and electric sauce pan thing from a bygone era. A small drying rack and a short drying line were available to use. In past experiences with AirBnb's the laundry facilities were newer and free to use. This laundry was $.75 per load. Almost all the blinds had some broken slats that diminished privacy. The patio was lovely to sit on and sip coffee while the sun rises.
This location would be great for backpackers who need a place to sleep and shower. As for our family with children this was not the ideal location for longer then the night we needed to catch our flight the next day.
