About This Listing
We have a housemate heading back to France for a few weeks and we'd be happy for someone cool to stay with us while he's away from the 4th til the 24th of August.
We have a fully furnished room for rent in a large, vibrant sharehouse right in the heart of Melbourne. We’d love to have a mature and socially confident person who is comfortable staying with half a dozen outgoing people. We're a diverse mix of young professionals in our mid-20s to early-30s who all get along extremely well but still have our own busy lives and social groups to attend to. It’s a very clean and friendly house in which we regularly cook and eat together and we all love meeting and getting to know new and interesting people. We especially enjoy having internationals stay as we've had over 30 during the last ten years and loved the cultural diversity that they've all brought to the house.
The house is fully furnished with high-speed wireless broadband, a very large lounge room with contemporary artwork and a television, and a beautiful outdoor private courtyard. We’re also opposite one of Melbourne’s most beautiful parks – the Fitzroy Gardens – and only a 10 minute walk, through the park, to the city. There are tram and bus stops outside the front door and many of Melbourne’s best night spots are just around the corner on Smith St and Brunswick St.

About the Host, Jules
I'm a 33 year old Australian who's easy going, clean and tidy, and respectful of other people's space. I've lived in a large sharehouse in Melbourne for over ten years, with over 80 different people (six at a time), so I'm relatively experienced in shared living arrangements. I particularly enjoy living with people from overseas, even if only briefly, as I find they tend to bring a cultural diversity to the house and offer differing perspectives on life for us Australians to consider. That having been said, I absolutely love Australia and think Melbourne is the best city in the world, from what I've seen anyway, and greatly enjoy showing people around town. I'm interested in fields such as philosophy, history and economics. I also love movies and music along with sailing and snowboarding.
