I live with my boyfriend in a spacious, one-bedroom apt in the East Village. We have a charming, full kitchen (so rare in NYC!) with blue cabinets, brick wall, and a big window, a large bedroom with a double bed, a comfy living room with two big couches and a flat screen, and large windows in every room. (A third guest can sleep on the couch, it's wide and long, or on a queen size aero bed.)
The apartment is a third floor walkup in an amazing neighborhood (we rarely go anywhere we can't walk!) There are great restaurants, bars, cafes, and shopping right in the neighborhood—literally everything you could want.
If you'd like to explore the city, we're less than 5 minutes from the L train (two stops from Union Square and one stop from Williamsburg, BK), and a ten minute walk from Union Square. The Lower East Side is 15 minutes away, and you can get to Soho in 20 minutes by foot.
The apartment is very spacious, and comfortable. Unlike a lot of NYC apartments, we actually like to spend time here and love to cook and have people over. I think you'll love it too! :)
No smoking, pick up after yourselves, and have fun!
What a gorgeous space and great location! Clean, comfortable and warm (we visited during one of NY's coldest winters). Located in the east village, the neighborhood was teeming with life. Great restaurants, bars and shops all within walking distance. Laura's description was pretty much on point. Some last minute issues came up and Laura and co. were very communicative and accommodating. She had compiled a very thoughtful list of recommended restaurants/bars to visit that we found to be extremely helpful. Overall a fantastic experience!!! A great first trip to NYC. I highly recommend staying here.
Laura was a very kind and responsive host- always replying quickly and helpful to every question.
The apartment was nicely located in East Village, a very hip neighborhood with lots of restaurants, bars etc. In good walking distance to several spots and also easy to use the subway nearby.
The apartment had a very good size for two people and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The bathroom was quite small, but okay. However, we were not totally satisfied with the cleanliness of the flat. Also it is not possible to regulate the heating- it got so hot that we had to leave the windows open day and night, which was then quite noisy to sleep.
But overall we can still recommend Laura's place!
The cleanliness of the apartment was ok. The place definitely wasn't as bright as the photos and the bedroom was pretty dark. The central heating made the apartment super hot. We can't even adjust it and we had to sleep with the windows open because we woke up sweating. The bathroom was TINY. There's only enough room for 1 person to stand up and you can touch all 4 walls. The 3 floor walk up was not convenient when we had to carry our heavy luggage up the stairs. The neighborhood was a good area and a lot of things were close by.
Unfortunately we were not able to accommodate Anna's request to alter her reservation more than a day after she had checked in. In response, it appears she felt it necessary to negatively comment on various aspects of the apartment. I would encourage you to take a look at the previous 18 positive 5 star reviews!
The place was just great and we had an amazing thanksgiving. The kitchen is spacious and nicely equipped, so we could easily prepare our contribution to the potluck.
Loads of cools bars and restaurant in walking distance and easy connection to everywhere.
Great Stay Thanks!
The apartment was clean and bright and exactly what we had expected from the pictures we viewed online. It is in a great neighbourhood. Lots of great restaurants, bars and cafes in the neighbourhood. A spectacular view of the Empire State building both from the bedroom but especially from the roof!Laura was super accomodating terms of our arrival and also helped direct us to some local neighborhood gems for food and drinks. We would gladly rent it again next time we visit New York. It was just what we were looking for!
The place was perfect for our stay: a long weekend.
Nicely decorated, welcoming, cute, spacious.
Despite the bedroom faces Avenue A, it was surprisingly calm during sleeping hours!
