About this listing
La casa è centrale, ma lontana dai rumori della vita cittadina;
Elisabetta's apartment was delightful, with wonderful views in all directions. Elisabetta herself could not have been nicer or more welcoming, always doing a little bit extra for her lucky guest. The apartment was well-situated, though be prepared for hills wherever you go in Perugia. Thanks, Elisabetta, for making my stay so enjoyable.
What can I say Elizabetta was a fabulous and gentle host. Dug in and local she knows her town, so if you need to know something she will help you. Her apartment is big with lovely terraces and fab views. Being off broadway, while its not in town, its very close and its quiet. And you can park.
Elisabetta has had so many glowing reviews that it hardly seems necessary to add to them. I'm also a little reluctant to write one as it'll probably mean she'll have even more guests and there won't be room for ME! I've had difficulty travelling abroad on my own since the death of my partner ten years ago (we would always travel abroad together) and this is the first time I've been able to really enjoy 'the sights' unaccompanied. Why? Because Elisabetta provides a home from home. Hers is a spacious, beautiful apartment, artistically arranged, without being precious. She herself is warm, welcoming and generous. Not only does she provide a lovely breakfast, but she is happy for you to use the apartment as you wish - there are two balconies to choose from and a comfortable interior sitting-area. The kitchen is also available. I was in the single room - a lovely space with access to one of the balconies (and the mattress is fantastic!). I could go on......In addition, it has the advantage of being within 15 minutes of the centro storico (and, by the way, of an excellent swimming-pool). It is perfectly feasible to spend time here without a car (though if you're using the train, you need to be quite fit to get back to the apartment!). Unhesitatingly recommended.
Elisabetta was a charming, friendly and helpful host. Her place is serene and elegantly furnished. She made a wonderful breakfast with homemade jams and tart which I had overlooking the great view of the town from her balcony. I would highly recommend this as a tranquil and enjoyable place to stay.
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS EXPERIENCE, the place is clean and fresh, wonderful location, both central and silent; breathtaking view; the apartment is cosy and, on top of everything, Elisabetta is lovely! M U S T GO!
I cannot believe there is a better place to stay in Perugia. Elisabetta was warm, welcoming and knowledgeable and went out of her way to give me many happy memories. My room was spacious, well furnished and quiet, and she provides a delicious breakfast (homemade apple cake) as well as entertaining company. When she discovered I was staying over a bank holiday she took me to a rose festival so I wouldn't be sitting on my hands and then back in Perugia showed me the best (and very reasonably priced) places to eat and buy yummy food to bring back home. As you can see from the photos her house is beautiful and peaceful with views to die for, it's located just under the main town walls; a few minutes walk away from the escalator to take you into the centre of town (that hill is steep). Perugia was a fascinating place and I could have happily spent more time there, but will look forward to coming back and staying with Elisabetta, I don't really see why I would want to go anywhere else! :-)
