This house is a family house so, people here feel at home. The view, on a clear day, is breathtaking. It faces West to the sunset over the ocean.
The flat is quite modern in spite of being built in the mid-nineties.
You will have a room with a private bathroom.
There is also a big kitchen and a living room- perfect to cook with space to sit down and have a chat. There are two balconies in the apartment.
Our apartment is quite big. You will have a bedroom with a double bed with fresh bed covers and towels. We can also provide an additional mattress.
You will have a bathroom on the corridor. It is not a private bathroom, however, in the worst case scenario, you will only have to share it with two other guests. We will let you know beforehand.
There is a kitchen and a living room, that are shared with us, but you can freely use them and cook, if you only wish to. We have all the kitchen equipment.
There central heating in the flat, so we hope you will not be cold even in the few winter months.
There are two balconies in the apartment with an amazing view of the city, sea and horizon where you can smoke.
Travelers will have their own private room and a bathroom.
Travelers are also welcome in the kitchen to cook and eat and there is a space reserved for their food in the fridge.
The living room is a place for socializing so travelers are also welcome there.
Interaction with guests
Expect friendly and traveled hosts who will welcome you kindly. If we are overworked we can't hang out with you much. It happens sometimes.
I and Joanna will be happy to share our knowledge of Porto. Ask us anything you would like to know.
We also love the city so much that we might offer to join you on a city walk - but it depends on our time and energy :-)
If you prefer to have more private space, we are totally ok with that, and will surely not bother you.
Other things to note
The low price of the accommodation is a compensation for a not walking distance to the center (still possible thought :-)), but it also means that we need to impose some restrictions to one-night-guests. For this we appologize in advanced.
Unfortunately the flat also faces a busy road. Especially on weekdays in the morning, there will be some noise from that road between 8.00 and 9.30. However, if you live in a city, it is not noisier than in any typical city location.
We love light so the house is not equipped with heavy blinds. The room has some material curtains.
The paint in the bedroom and bathroom is old and needs work, so you will find some chipped paint.
We tend to not accept bookings for one night because it just does not compensate the work load. We want to prevent a scenario where we can have one different guest each night, which meant changing sheets, cleaning and washing every day.
Always clean up after you cook
Don't cook with the electric cooker!
Pay attention to the noise when you know people are resting.
Mondays and Fridays are cleaning days in the house.
Don't waste and recycle.
