Porto/Gaia - Equidistant dream!

Apartment - Private room · Rua Diogo de Silves, Vila Nova de Gaia, Porto District 4440-452, Portugal

The Space

It's a big apartment with a bedroom, a single bed and a floor mattress with sleeping bag. The kitchen is very big and free to cook in. There is a bathroom to share with another guest (in case there is another guest in the other room) It's a modern place with central heating, very warm in winter and cool in Summer.
I have a cat. She is very friendly and old, so she won't give you much attention.
I have a flatmate with whom you'll share the bathroom. Her hours to get ready for work must be respected. Between 9.45 and 9.15 is when she needs the bathroom.

Expect a friendly and traveled host who will welcome you kindly. If I'm overworked I can't hang out with you much. It happens sometimes.

It's a quiet neighborhood. There is a bakery/café, a mini-market, two simple cafes and a famous francesinha (typical Porto meal) restaurant. There are two balconies in the apartment with an amazing view of the city, sea and horizon where you can smoke.

10-15 minutes walk from my apartment you'll find a train stop, a bus stop and the metro. Walking downtown is also possible and I recommend it. It's a 30 minute walk.

This house is a family house so, people here feel at home. The view, on a clear day, is breathtaking. It faces West to the sunset.

  • I was pleasantly surprised with the apartment :) It is really big, clean and has everything one could wish for! Moreover, I even got my own bathroom, like at a hotel. :)

Tiago is an easy-going person. He welcomed me nicely and explained what's what at his flat. He kept in touch throughout the whole stay, so I had nothing to worry about.
    Thanks!

We didn't see Tiagus a long Time but enough to tell you : that a good person.
He picked up us on the metro and thanks again to him because we have drunk a lot of very good Porto ..
The room is very good ! And given the price it's wonderful. We have very good night and ... Tiagus had an orthopedic pillow !!

About
I was born in Porto. I was raised there too, so I have a strong connection with this city, even though I always lived in the suburbs (but it's a small city anyway). At school I developed a passion for foreign languages and by the time I was 15 I could communicate in French and German. At that time I was already fluent in English (I watched too much TV). During university I had a year in Vienna under the ERASMUS program. By this time I had already done 2 Interails across Europe. After my degree I did my Masters in Kraków - Poland. Awesome year and a half. After that I came back to Porto to work. I can't live my life without prospect of adventure. I teach for a living and that means that I can have a week off several times a year. So I decided to make the best of my free time and do what I always loved doing: traveling. I talk, I drink, I travel, but i'm a good host... trust me :)
