About This Listing
No car needed, steps to Oakland City Marta Station
Semi-Private Space.... This is not a real room with solid walls, but one of six cheerful, inviting, beautifully decorated areas each divided by slim wooden walls and floor to ceiling curtains. In each of these spaces, you will find a very comfortable and well dressed single bed, storage, towel, robe, and pretty much everything needed to get a cozy night's rest, an afternoon nap, a session of work/study, or just chillin and relaxing. I also have little fans and space heaters available for guest's comfort. These crash pads are perfect for just a night passing through Atlanta (only 4 quick stops from the Airport, then a 3 minute walk to the house) or even for an extended stay (so close to downtown) 6 luxury crash pads in total , so at any given time there could potentially be up to 6 people staying here sharing the one full bathroom and one half bathroom, and 2 vanity sink area which is plenty to accomodate a full house. Guests are usually well traveled, friendly, educated, interesting to chat with, and in the habit of good house sharing etiquette. Sorry, no children or pets allowed. However, I do have 3 of the sweetest, cutest dogs ever that stay here, as well as myself and Forrest. Upstairs in the mail level of the house are the 5 private guest rooms with another full kitchen, common area, and 2 more bathrooms
Modest kitchen with basics available to Crash Pad guests, as well as free WIFI and laundry facilities. Nice big yard with lots of patio seating for those beautiful, sunny Atlanta mornings.
The neighborhood...Capitol View, an up and coming community close to downtown. It's a residential neighborhood comprised of single family homes that has a Bohemian mixed with Inner City vibe. You won't find any tourists around here, just local, lower income, working class, friendly ATLiens. No trendy shops or cafes...only single family residential homes with a small corner mini mart for convenience items.
Tracy is very nice and hospitable. I arrived very early in the morning and she kindly helped me settle down with everything prepared. the bed is cozy. all other guests are polite and friendly as well. I felt like at home living there. The place is clean and tidy. It is just 10 min walk to the subway station. Very convenient. oh and the dogs! 100 likes!
Vintage bungalow was an amazing place to day! The space is as described so there were no surprises there. Tracy was a very welcoming hosts really made me feel at home. Even though the sleeping quarter was not big there was lots of common area. Tracy also recommended me places to visit while I was in Atlanta. Open, hospitable, and inviting. Definitely recommend her place!
Only stayed one night but space was clean and tidy, house was lovely, and the host was very welcoming! She not only told me about stuff going on around town but also responded quickly when I told her I was locked out (my own fault). Would definitely stay again in the future.
I had a great experience here! Very short walk from the MARTA (though I wouldn't walk alone/at night if you can help it) to a hidden gem in a quiet end of the neighborhood. Gorgeous house, comfy bed, beautiful dogs! Really great place to crash for a night and shower after a hot Atlanta day. Totally undisturbed, quiet sleep. Met some really great people in the house too! Definitely recommended. Thanks Tracy!
I was looking for a nice place to stay with some company in atlanta - and thats exactly what I got from this place! Its a really good place to stay, nice interieur which provides verything necessary for living. Ita about 5min to the next subway station. Just awesome!
Tracy was most welcoming! The site was as described and I especially appreciated the convenience to MARTA for future planning! Clean, cozy and a hot cup of tea... perfect!
The house and accommodations were just as described. Tracy was very welcoming and the dogs were very lovey! Close to the Marta stop at Oakland City made for quick access to and from the Atlanta airport. The two-block walk from the station to the house might be a little intimidating for some, but the travel savvy probably won't bat an eye. I'd stay again for sure.

About the Host, Vintage Bungalow
Easy going, creative types. We like cooking, entertaining, local, organic food, yoga, good wine, lots of good music, art, film, animals, nature, sailing, the ocean, traveling, calm and tranquil spaces, and try to find beauty in all things. We love to have fun and not take life too seriously. We enjoy hosting and meeting new friends from all cultures and backgrounds and don't really follow the mainstream of American culture much at all. We love to buy houses and fix them up. We have quite a few places where we host guests and try to be as accommodating as possible. When staying in a private room, you will be in a room in one of our houses, most likely, there will be a couple of dogs in the house as well, so animal lovers usually love staying with us. Our properties are in lower income neighborhoods where real, local ATLiens live. You won't see many tourists around, mostly, just typical working class folks who love to sit on the front porch and unwind as part of Southern culture. We always say hello to each other in passing, so please be friendly and observe our friendly custom when encountering locals, they will appreciate the gesture. Because we are in a lower income neighborhood, we can offer more upscale accommodations to travelers on a budget. Also, for travelers relying on public transportation, we are on the Marta line conveniently situated halfway between the Airport and downtown. Our rates are very reasonable and not subject to negotiation. Rates, terms, and policies are fixed and applied equally to all guests. We look forward to hosting you one day soon.
