Located at the corner of Nelson and Burrard in the downtown core, a secure, self-contained, 1 bedroom apartment.
Easy walking distance to shopping, Vancouver Art Gallery, Vancouver Convention Centre, cinemas, the Seabus (to North Vancouver), many restaurants and cafes. It is across the road from the Sheraton Wall Center, the Law Courts, the Robert Lee YMCA (gym, yoga, indoor swimming pool, all day drop in M&F for $15) and St Paul’s Hospital. Yaletown, Granville St Entertainment District, Stanley Park, and English Bay are within easy walking distance. An excellent supermarket/deli is across Burrard St and Starbucks and Earl's are in the same city block. An ATM is a few feet from the main entrance and city bus stops are nearby, the nearest subway station is only a few minutes walk away and the international airport is 25 minutes by the Canada line subway.

Queen size bed with duvet and quality linens and towels, highspeed wireless internet, unlimited local telephone calls, TV/FM/DVD player/iPOD-iPhone docking, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, free laundry conveniently located on the same floor.
Fully equipped kitchen:
Includes fridge with full size freezer compartment, new, quiet dishwasher, microwave, coffee makers, (Nespresso, French press and filter) pots, pans, glasses, cutlery, blender, rice cooker, basic condiments. Note that there are now full instructions for the Nespresso maker, (in response to guests who were not familiar with the system) which makes excellent expressos, lattes and cappuccinos. We frequently stay in the apartment ourselves and try to keep the facilities to a standard we maintain at home. There should be utensils and pans to prepare a full meal if you wish. Please inform us if you find essential items are not in the kitchen.
The apartment is both heated and airconditioned and has openable windows.
The heating/AC is a building installation, over which we have no control, other than temperature regulation. To very light sleepers it may appear noisy. We sleep with the bedroom door closed and are not affected by the noise, which is about the same as a fridge. During temperate periods, the heating/ventilation can be turned off and suitable windows opened.
Three high speed elevators, gym, sauna, social club area, pool table, outdoor area for BBQ, no smoking building, electronic security tags for the building and elevators.
Interaction with Guests
Our guests are ALWAYS met by arrangements, usually by our agent, or by us when we are in town. They are shown the apartment and building facilities and are available to answer brief questions about downtown Vancouver.
The downtown neighbor hood is lively, safe and conveniently located many of the central City's attractions. A great starting point for city and park walking and cycling tours.
Access to Vancouver Public Transport is excellent. Internet access to routes, schedules, general information etc are available on the BC Transit web site.
Other Things to Note
Bookings will not be accepted from guest requests which do not include photos of the principal guest, to whom the key/security tag will be released on production of acceptable photo ID (passport or govt/state issued driver's license).
Please note the requirement for a security deposit is solely to cover replacement of the non-copiable door key and the building security tag. If a key set is unaccounted we must go thru expensive and time consuming procedures involving the Buildings Strata Association. The deposit will only be claimed thru the host's AIRBNB account if the keys are not returned, as arranged when checking in.
No pets and no smoking in the apartment or the building please. Bylaws impose fines on residents for infringements
No children under 12
Guests must follow strata bylaws and regulations (copy posted in apartment)
You will be asked to sign a "Form K", ( as required by building bylaws) agreeing to abide by the bylaws and giving some minimal personal details about the occupants.
No unregistered guests are permitted to stay overnight.
No more than 8 persons in the apartment at any time.
Please remove your shoes when entering the apartment (as Canadians do).
Please refrain from removing makeup using the towels. Cotton puffs are provided for that purpose.
A refundable security deposit of $CAD 150 is registered with AIRBNB at booking, to cover the potential replacement cost of key/security tag replacement if these are not returned at checkout. (see "other Things to Note", previously)
This is a self serviced suite so we do not normally provide daily room cleaning and services. Guests are requested to leave the suite in a clean condition, as it was on initial occupation. A cleaning fee will be charged if there are unwashed dishes, spills, or excessive food scraps etc to be disposed of. Cleaning is included for longer stays by arrangement with guests.
Guests are expected to dispose of their own garbage using the building facilities. Used towels, linen etc should be left in the bathtub. Please feel free to use the washer/dryers and cleaning equipment to maintain the suite during occupancy.
Guests are requested to shut off all faucets, turn off all electrical devices and lights and lock the door when leaving the apartment.
I cannot rate this stay highly enough! From the incredibly simple, quick and streamlined booking process, through to being greeted by the agents and shown around; however nothing compares to the apartment itself. It was beautifully presented and in the best location for exploring the city. Kirsty and Phil provided all the amenities that we would need for our stay and it truly felt like a home from home; one that I can't wait to return back to.
The appartement was absolutely perfect. It was very clean and we had everything we needed. The location is very nice. It's in the middle of the downtown so you can walk everywhere. We loved it.
The condo was very clean and exactly as described. In a great location for walking into the downtown core. The gym is a bit small but a big plus to have the option.
We had a wonderful days in this apartament. The place is exactly a photos in the page the apartamnet is nice ,clean,quiet...and the location is fantastic.
We would definitely come back in the future ;)

We had a fabulous 7 nights in the apartment from Xmas to New Years day. Really enjoyed our time there. Very friendly hosts and perfect location for Downtown Vancouver. Very close to Granville and Robson street where there are lots of nice places to eat and drink. The apartment is very clean and has a lovely view of the Xmas lights and buildings nearby. Being able to do your own washing and drying is also a big plus to this place. Very safe apartment too :)
This apartment is wonderful - quiet, clean and modern! Downtown location is within walking distance of many great attractions. The hosts, Phil and Kirsty, were more than helpful prior to our arrival and gave us a very thorough overview when we arrived. I highly recommend the apartment to others!
Phil and Kirsty were both born and raised in New Zealand, emigrating to Canada 30 years ago. Phil is a retired civil engineer and Kirsty used to own a management consulting firm. We have had very good experiences with apartment rentals in Argentina, Berlin, Australia and Paris. Phil has worked extensively on offshore projects, mostly in Asia and has enjoyed the outdoors in BC, skiing, sailing and hiking. Kirsty is very familiar with arts and culture in Vancouver.
