I've been to Sonoma Valley many times but this is our first time staying in town. Nancy and Linda's spotless, well appointed, comfortable and spacious home is on a very quiet street leaving you with the feeling that you are a million miles away, yet a short distance to the best of Sonoma's restaurants and shops.
Thank you Nancy and Linda for a wonderful stay, we will be back!
We had a lovely time at Nancy and Linda's. we were return visitors ans they made our birthday celebration great! Thanks!
We had a wonderful time at Solano House. First let me say, that we locked ourselves out of the house unloading our car at 9 pm. Nancy called my back within 5 minutes and within another 5 minutes had a friend there and letting us back in. Needless to say, we were extremely grateful at the responsiveness of our gracious hosts. (*note to self, unlock the bottom lock, so that if the door closes you aren't S.O.L.)
Nancy and Linda have really gone to every effort to make sure all of the needs of their guests are met. The house is well appointed with everything you need, from an electric mixer and a flour sifter in the kitchen to q-tips and a hair dryer in the bathroom.
The fireplace was a wonderful treat and it really made our new years night feel cozy and special. In spite of being only a walk away from the main plaza the house is situated at the start of a cul de sac, so it is remarkably quiet, street traffic was not an issue at all, and we live on a 5 acre farm only normally hearing 2 cars a day at the most.
We had a party of 5 most nights and 6 for two nights. That is really the limit of the house unless you bring an air mattress and put it on the living room floor (which is plenty roomy for such an endeavor.) We found the mattresses to be comfy. If you keep the heat on, you might find even the most cold blooded creatures would have to kick the covers off, so operate the central heat keeping in mind that it is very efficient at warming things up.
When my in laws come back next year, this is sure to be the first place we'll try to book. We loved it so much. Thank you Linda and Nancy. You have created a real treasure in Sonoma!
My family and I couldn't have hoped for a more perfect winter holiday stay at the Solano House. Nicely situated a very short drive or longer walk to the town center, the house was very clean, quiet and well equipped.
Our needs and beyond were all accounted for from toiletries to even holiday lights (on a timer) outside the house. My parents love to cook and they were pleasantly surprised how well stocked and organized the kitchen was. The fresh fruit, cheese and wine were also a nice welcome.
Nancy and Linda were both very responsive and accommodating.
The next time we are in town this is on the top of my list. One of my best AirBnb experiences.
We had such a fabulous stay at the Solano House. Communication with both Nancy and Linda was informative, professional and timely. They even accommodated a request for a baby pack 'n play and high chair for my 6 month old nephew. Everything was so clean and well thought out. It took so much stress out of our vacation.
The house is the perfect size for two couples and a child. We never felt too crowded. The kitchen is well stocked (just missing steak knives) and we utilized the small gas grill for dinners. One of our favorite things about our Sonoma trip was sitting out on the patio every night enjoying our wine selections of the day. So relaxing! There is no way we could have accomplished so much togetherness in a hotel setting.
The location is quiet but a bit far from the square if you are wanting to walk there. It isn't so much the 1.5 miles as it is the lack of good sidewalks on a busy street. The bikes were a bonus. Just pay attention to which streets/highways have the bike lane and you will enjoy the ride much more.
Thank you Nancy and Linda! We enjoyed the wine, cheese and fruits!
This house was perfect for our needs - close to Sonoma, spacious, fenced in yard and a lightly stocked kitchen for us to get started. I would highly recommend friends and family to stay here, especially since it is dog friendly! Thanks for a great stay!
Can't recommend this house enough! It's beautiful, features a very nice garden and is minutes from the historic Sonoma square. We were staying here with a large group and the house accommodated us perfectly.
Nancy and Linda are also very kind and responsive. They catered to our every need and even left a bottle of wine with some snacks in the house for us as a welcome gift!
A well-appointed house in a quiet neighborhood not far from downtown Sonoma. We found cheese, fruit, crackers and a bottle of wine as a greeting! What a pleasant surprise.
We had a great time.
Nancy and Linda were very responsive hosts.
Nancy and Linda's place has a great location and was very comfortable for everyone in our group. We were welcomed with some fresh fruit and cheese and had a great time!
The Solano House was perfect for us! We had a group of 5 and the sleeping arrangements were great and the place is very spacious and clean. It's great location in Sonoma let you be at any location within minutes (and thanks for having the wine country maps there too!).
Will definitely plan to stay here again for our next trip!
