Sunset Junction! Corner bedroom in a big modernized craftsman house with it's own private attached bathroom, The bedroom has a queen size bed and French glass doors that open onto the rear balcony, very green backyard, lots of trees, birds.
Large modern kitchen, great space to cook or just hang out in, with french doors that lead to another huge balcony/deck where you can, BBQ, or just relax and have a cocktail before heading out into Silver Lake, Hollywood, Downtown LA, Echo Park for the nightlife, the food, and the music! Great location to enjoy this cool trendy part of Los Angeles. Sometimes guests just chill on one of the balconies, reading, relaxing.
Full access to Kitchen, plus an additional half bathroom off the kitchen, Balcony off kitchen, and lounge/patio in the front of the house.
I do stock the house with coffee, tea, bagels, cereal, hard boiled eggs, stuff to put on your bagels/toast, almond/soy/coconut/and cow's milk, and I'll pick up seasonal fruit at the market and put it out on the counter for my guests.
Interaction with Guests
Depends on each situation. Sometimes we're all very social, and other times guests just want to relax and enjoy their privacy.

Walk to the Junction where you can pick buses that run along Sunset Boulevard and Santa Monica Boulevard. The metro red line is about a 10 minute walk or three bus stops. I you rent a care, street parking is available in front or behind the house.
Pretty relaxed here. We keep the noise low on the weeknights from 11pm till 8am.
Sometimes share a drink with the guests before heading out for a night on the town.
Chris and his partner are very friendly and welcoming. I felt like home the whole time I stayed there, and it is conveniently located in between a metro station and sunset junction! The room itself is very spacious and It has got a private bathroom, which is fantastic! I would recommend anyone to stay at Chris's and I will definitely come back again when I'm back in LA.
This was my first experience with Airbnb, and Chris was so awesome! His place is beautiful and bigger than I'd thought. The room is exactly as it's pictured and though I'm used to a softer bed, I still slept very well during my stay. The neighborhood was quiet and I hardly heard the other guests.
There isn't a tv in the room, so bring a tablet or laptop if you need a bit of white noise. Chris has such great stories if you have some time to sit with him during your stay. I'm definitely staying here again when I'm back in LA.
Chris is a great host and I loved my room that I stayed in! This was my first experience on air bnb and he reassured me to continue this bnb journey. In passing he'll suggest local events and things to do around town. I would definitely recommend his place to my family and friends. I loved opening my patio door and letting the cool breeze in. So glad that I made the decision.
It was my second time with Chris and my first with Frank :-)
I love staying at their place. The house is just great, very clean and cozy and spacious. Has so many places to enjoy outside as it has various verandas with comfi chairs and sofas.
The area around is also great. Many restaurants, bars and small shops are in walking distance.
And Chris and Frank are just great hosts. So easy to chat to! I had a great time again. My friend who joined me, totally fell in love with this place, too!
I am coming back again, for sure!
This was my first experience with Airbnb and it was an amazing start! Chris was very welcoming and flexible with my evening flight arrival. He was very friendly and took pride in offering his home as a chance to be hospitable (which was very clean, comfortable, and the morning snacks in the fridge were a godsend) as well as to any other guests that were there. The location was prime since it was a block and a half away from coffee shops, restaurants and cool places to meet new people. I was a five minute drive from Griffith Park so if you like a good balance between city and nature, this place helps make L.A. feel like a second home. I loved it!
Great stay with Chris!
The house is very clean and beautiful. Also the bed is really comfortable!!
Walking distance to good food, coffed and drink :)
I'll be back!!
As ever, Chris was a charming and excellent host. The room is great, with a balcony and lovely bathroom (shame we couldn't use the tub, because of the drought).
Chris offered plenty of recommendations for eating and drinking in Silver Lake, and advice on getting around in LA; and also provided all the fixings for a delicious breakfast in the morning. The area around the house has many great cafes, restaurants, bars and boutique shops.
I would definitely recommend this room, and hope to stay again when I am next in Los Angeles.

I grew up in the New York suburbs and north east New England. I wound up living in New York City for a few years, and eventually moved to California about 22 years ago. I've been living in the Silver Lake and Los Feliz area ever since, and I run the BNB with my partner Frank.
I embrace the 'LA' lifestyle, in that I try to be easy going and flexible, and do take advantage of the local delights. (Mountains, deserts, and the Pacific Ocean.) When I'm traveling, sometimes I'm looking for a peaceful natural retreat, other times looking for a fun city that stays open late.
It's amazing how many interesting and really cool people I've met through airbnb.com and I'm very happy I can be a host and will continue to do so.
