Don't feed the monkeys. They will come to the house and feel free to take lots of photos, but you can endanger their health if you feed or touch them. And respect the animals by keeping the noise down after 10 pm. Sound travels easily in the rain forest. The housekeeper will clean every day except Sunday. The layout of the house is not suited to young walking children due to the open layout.

Excellent. The host was very kind and extremely helpful. The place is simply magical. I had never been in a place quite like it. You are literally in the midst of the jungle, yet you have all the comfort of an amazing place. I went there with my extended family of 12 people and we had a great time. Extremely comfortable. Spacious. Clean. Perfect.

We were a family of 5 adults and had a wonderful stay at Casa Elsa. Jarek & Sally checked on us daily. Sally arranged for a white water rafting trip which was fantastic and a kayaking trip which was also very nice. Jarek took us to the weekly farmers market in Quepos on our first day. We stocked up on fresh local vegetables, fruit and eggs for the week. Casa Elsa was within walking distance of Cafe Milagro, Emilio's Cafe, the beach and the local bus. No need to worry about going to see the wildlife, it comes to you. We were visited by capuchin monkeys and spider monkeys. A sloth spent one morning in the trees above us! All and all a memorable stay at Casa Elsa.

Susan was excellent and provided white glove service from start to finish. We are a rag tag band and don't need help, but she went above and beyond the call of duty to hook us up with the right tours even though they were sold out! This is like someone who gets you back stage passes at a sold out concert! She is a delight and drove value HIGH! The house was excellent. In close proximity to most of the excitement in town or with the various shops in the area. A drive to the right and you are on a beautiful beach with Iguana's, Monkeys and a host of charismatic locals that make you feel safe and secure. All we had to do was HAVE A GOOD TIME and we did! We are already planning a second trip!

Casa Elsa was incredible! Our group of 9 was amazed from the moment we walked in... and incredibly sad to leave six days later. The open-concept design lets the jungle mix with the home, yet it still has the expected modern amenities and comforts, including AC in all of the large bedrooms and fully-apointed bathrooms and kitchens. The housekeeper and maintenance crew were great. The included laundry meant you can truly pack light. Say hello to the monkeys (three species), sloths, birds, and other creatures in the trees as you lounge in the pool, enjoy a dinner from the chef (an extra charge, if desired), and relax in the evening. Although you rarely need to leave, the beach, market, and restaurants are all within a brief walk. Other excursions can be arranged so that you can just be picked up at the front door. Manuel Antonio is already beautiful, but this house made it even more so for all of us. Highly recommended.

Casa Elsa was amazing! I would definitely recommend it as a place to stay. It is open and spacious, and the jungle views are amazing. Our group of 8 absolutely loved our week there. The concierge, housekeeping, and maintenance staff were all very professional and integral to the success of our stay. The location is very central with several restaraunts, a market, an ATM, and beaches all within a 15-20 minute walk. The monkeys and birds visible from the pool deck provided a memorable and unique experience.

We took a girls trip to Manuel Antonio, and 6 of us stayed at Casa Elsa. Susan, the property manager was there to greet us when we arrived. She was very friendly and super knowledgeable about the area. We had come from doing a bunch of adventures, so were really there to relax. It was the perfect place to unwind. The house was plenty big for all of us, and had everything that we needed. We ordered groceries and made our own meals most of the days, but we were really happy that we got a chef and spa services in-house one of the days. When we go back to Manuel Antonio, we will definitely stay here again. It's private, but close to everything that you need. Great restaurants within walking distance, and so is the beach!

STAY AT CASA ELSA! That pretty much sums it up. This is the MOST unique house you will ever stay in. Everything about the house is special. It is literally like living in a fancy tree house in the jungle. We were 7 people including 2 children (11 and 15) and an austistic adult. There are four bedrooms, all with private baths and A/C (which works GREAT!!). The rest of the house is not air conditioned but we were never uncomfortable. There is always a breeze. The house is walking distance to many great restaurants, bars, ATM's and markets. The walk is somewhat uphill and dark at night (no sidewalks) so may be somewhat difficult for older people. The monkeys DO visit (we saw all three types) and will steal stuff. The first morning we had our first visit with a white-face monkey and it ran through the house into the kitchen. It was incredibly fun and a great way to start our first morning. If having wild animals hang out with you is not your idea of fun, then do not stay here! The howler monkeys do, in fact, howl and are loud enough to wake up a sleeping teenager! Susan, the house concierge, was amazing and really was key in getting us organized. She sent us information of the activities we could do and we chose three. She arranged pick-ups and drop-offs at the airport. When we got to the house, she was there to greet us and explain the workings of the house. There was a binder of all the info. we needed including every detail of the trips we were doing. Favorite restaurants with descriptions were there as well. Having Petronella there to do the laundry and clean was amazing! You literally can go with just a few pieces of clothing and some bathing suits because laundry is done every day! I did not wear 90% of what I brought! The house is also conveniently located down the street from a spa, which offers yoga, pilates, massages, reflexology etc. My sister-in-law and I love yoga and took advantage of this great location (Spa Holis). The trips we took were all great too. The last night we were there, we all said what our favorite meal was and what our favorite trip was. Everyone had a different one so you know that was a good sign. My FAVORITE was the jungle jeep buggy tour. AMAZING and a great cultural trip as well because you go thorugh villages and eat lunch at a small village "restaurant" at a home of a local family! We are looking to go back to Costa Rica in 2015 and want to explore a different part of this fabulous country and use (URL HIDDEN) problem is that we have stayed at the coolest house on the planet already and may just come back to Casa Elsa!
