Why I share my home?
Because I believe in the culture of sharing , understanding between people because I know my city and my lifestyle . To my Airbnb is not a business or a holiday , it is a way of remembering the cosmopolitan character which had Cadiz in the eighteenth century and as a historian I am committed to the transmission of culture.

Jose's flat is very nicely located close to most things in town including the beach. Jose was very welcoming and easily available should we have questions or requests, which he fullfilled quickly. This made our stay very comfortable in Cadiz! Thank you!
Jose's apartment is in a perfect location, close to all the attractions, yet private and quiet. Jose was helpful in giving us pointers on where to go and what to see and we enjoyed our visit to Cadiz. Also the sunset was remarkable from the rooftop terrace.
José is very friendly, very helpful, sweet and mellow. He even helped with my laundry and a telephone problem I had. He also supplied me with some stationary that I needed. During my week at his home I also ran into two of Josés friends who were most friendly, welcoming and easygoing too. José speaks some English, but I think he is more comfortable with Spanish (it's the other way round with me). He was always interested to discuss history, culture and gastronomy of Cadiz town and province and my day-to-day discoveries. As advertised, he picked me up from the bus station; I had to nudge him a bit to get the advertised historical walk.
The sleeping room is extremly small and the only storage place for my big suitcase was on the upper bunk bed. Internet worked very well. In late October, I could have the window open 24 hours without any problems at all (there was no smell, I just like open windows). Compared to other rooms I had in Andalucia this one caught relatively much daylight and little streetlight at night. It's very silent for Andalucia (4th floor not on the street side).
My sleeping room and private bathroom were on opposite sides of Josés sleeping room. The bathroom worked ok, with a shower inside a bathtub (with a working shower head holder). The bathroom has a small real window that can be opened.
The rooftop terrace does have the sweeping views seen in the pictures here. But the couch may be wet from rain or humidity and the floor may be dirtied by the little dog that spends long hours there.
The house is in a relatively residential part of old Cadiz, with several nice coffee-bars just around the block. The main sights and restaurants are five to 12 minutes walk away; especially close is Torre Tavira with gorgeous views, but the Cathedral and its Torre Poniente only need about seven minutes more of walking.
While José is very friendly, I think ultimately the price should be lower.
Good place with excellent location and beautiful roof terrace. I especially like the small tour Jose offered at the beginning as a great introduction to the city and its history.
Very nice flat, top floor of a typical building, well maintained; very bright, lots of plants, affectionate little dog, several terraces with sofa, dining table, stepper, exercise bike and shower (not used, actually) + space for sunbathing / relax / yoga & gym / hanging clothes. Small but well equipped kitchen, space in the fridge for you; private bathroom with towels, hair-dryer, bidet, bath / shower, window. Cozy bedroom - the typical "girls' room" - with bunk bed, comfortable mattresses, super quiet (on silent internal), no traffic noise (road with very few passing cars) and no noise of the nightlife of Cadiz.
José is a good host, and leaves the house at your disposal. It's a sensitive and reserved person, and we believe that having to do with people around enlivens his life. He picked us up at the station. We were tempted to accept his tour of the town, but we had really little time, and my daughter had actually been in Cadiz six months until mid-February, so, sadly, we gave up, but we followed some of his advice. We'd go back in future!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Cadiz, and my stay in Jose's apartment is a huge reason why. The apartment is situated on a quiet street but is a short walking distance to everywhere I wanted to go. The terrace was a fantastic place to unwind and gather myself. Jose picked me up at the station and gave me a very useful list of suggestions of things to do, so I felt oriented very quickly. Most of all, I loved the walking historical tour that he gave me and the incidental conversations we had. Of my four-city trip, this was the stop where I felt most at home. Highly recommended!
