  • Joyce was an incredibly warm host who providing a quite literally perfect accommodation for my husband and me. She was flexible when we changed our dates and times a million times and understanding when we were late. The house is unbelievable; everything from the bathroom to the bedroom, the huge shared kitchen is impeccably decorated with local art, tiles, pillows etc. And the gem of the house, the roof, is breathtaking. My husband and I watched the sunset over the entire city every night. Joyce and her lovely home made our visit absolutely perfect and we will absolutely be staying with her again when we return to Sam Miguel!

  • Joyce's place was amazing! She have us an upgrade to casa Tecolote which is a beautiful Mexican house with a gorgeous view of San Miguel and very close to everything. She's a great host and would definitely recommend her place to anyone traveling to San Miguel.

  • Our host, Joyce, was the best! Her place was great and exactly as described. Although, we rented Casa Alegria (Parroquia bedroom), she was kind enough to offer us an upgrade (Casa Tecolote) at no extra cost. Casa Tecolote and Casa Alegria, both conveniently located near from the heart of downtown SM, are a great choice for anybody looking for something more than just a typical hotel room. Casa Tecolote is a stunning home with several rooms and a breath-taking view of the Parroquia Allende from the terraza.

We hope to come back to SM and stay with Joyce!

  • A fantastic experience! Joyce was a wonderful host. In addition to being a great person, she was: quick to respond to any questions before we arrived; helped to arrange transportation to/from the airport; and was a valuable source of information on everything from restaurants to museums. The rooms were great: clean, spacious and charming; and the balcony with the hammock is relaxing. The location is ideal: a short walk to the center of town, but just far enough to provide a break from the bustle of tourists. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

  • I stayed at Casa Alegria with Joyce for 3 weeks and had a wonderful time! Location is very convenient, few blocks from mercado where you can get fresh fruits and groceries. Only 10mins walk to Jardin and very safe & friendly neighborhood. Room is decent size for 1 or 2 people and has a direct access to the patio. Third floor patio is also very beautiful and has an amazing view. On top of that, Joyce is a fun person to be around and very helpful and friendly. If you are new to the town she is more than happy to help you how to get around the town. I highly recommend staying here at Joyce's. I would definitely come back.

  • What you're getting here in San Miguel will be beyond any of your expectations. Sure the space is beautiful, clean and comfortable, but the true appeal here is the woman who will be your host. It was a great pleasure meeting Joyce as she is truly an incredible person. She's very accommodating and will ensure you are comfortable from the moment you arrive until you've departed. By not staying here, you'll really miss out on meeting one of San Miguel's hidden gems!

  • The house on tecolote is in a great location, within easy walking distance of the main jardin. From the top floor you get wonderful views of the city. This is a great value for the rate charged. Joyce was a wonderful host, she even helped arrange airport transportation for my wife and I. She is very responsive to emails and made our stay quite enjoyable.
