A private home lodging located in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica with a spectacular post card ocean/ jungle view.
We have 2 rooms with shared baths and 6 rooms with private baths. . A short walk to the beach and the National Park. We are not a hotel so if you enjoy staying in a home this is the right place.
This room has a private bath and ceiling fans and one of the best views in Manuel Antonio. It has a double bed, sitting area and of course shower with hot water.
Manuel Antonio and the National Park is internationally known for its breathtaking beauty and abundance of wildlife. Without even moving from our deck you can see monkeys (3 kinds), sloths, coatis, tucans and lots more in their natural environment. Our garden has many species of tropcial plants including heliconias, cinnamon, allspice, papaya, bananas, pineapples and orchids. We are a 10 min walk to the beach. Everything you need can be found within walking distance. A small supermarket, banks, gift shops and some of the best restaurants in the area are a short distance away. Looking directly at the National Park we have one of the best views in Manuel Antonio. Our very small friendly bi-lingual staff with many years of living in Costa Rica, can make any tour reservations for you. If you would like to go sailing, river rafting, parasailing, horseback riding, kayak through the mangrove, or swing through the canopy we can arrange it for you.
All our guests may use the deck and living room/kitchen area of the teak house. The view is spectacular and there is a hammock and lots of deck chairs to sit and watch the monkeys passing though the trees. A full kitchen is available for your use but breakfast is service in the main house. A large deck overlooking the ocean and tropical rainforest is a wonderful way to see wildlife or just relax with a cold drink and good book. Sorry we do not accept children under 15.
I will only receive guests after 6 pm by direct request, so ask first if you plan on arriving at night.
The property has a large common area in the teak house with a big deck, living room and kitchen. There is also a TV room with cable.
I usually am here to receive my guests and answer any questions they might have. If for some reason I can't be here, my assistant will be here. We do need to know within an hour or so the time you will arrive. Because we are not a hotel we don't have someone here all day. I also don't accept people after 6 pm unless there is special circumstances.
Casa Buena Vista is a charming place with one of the most beautiful views i've ever seen. Breakfast it's really nice and the price it's great. I was very satisfied
Anita's place was great. The staff was sweet and the breakfast each morning was wonderful:) We stayed in the "cabin" and had access to our own bathroom, kitchen, living area, porch, kitchen table, and bedroom. It was rustic and very close to nature, and we could hear howler monkeys calling one another each night! There was no air conditioning, but we had a fan and slept great. Casa Buena Vista was in a great location with the beach a short walk away, bars and coffee spots super close, and everywhere you looked you had a breathtaking view!! We planned on visiting Manual Antonio/Quepos for two days, but ended up staying all week:)
The internet was not accessible from our room, but the staff was great and helped us book tours and call cabs when needed.
We met some neat people and enjoyed the common areas. The bats kept almost all of the mosquitos away so I was pretty much bug bite free! Which is an AMAZING feat for me:)
I would definitely stay here again. Thanks Anita and company!
I had a great stay at Anita's!!! The room was nice, breakfast was great as was the company. Her house is in the jungle and you will see animals, sometimes on your front porch!! Authentic, great experience!!
We had a great stay at Anita's place. Anita is a very nice host and her place including the garden is really beautiful. We can recommend it as a perfect place for holiday. Thank you Anita!
CBV B&B was a great experience! Room 2 was very nice with a private bathroom and a view of the beach...breakfast is good value for the price of the stay (eggs, toast with delicious jam, fruit juice), and the BnB is just a 5 minute walk to a bus stop that takes you to the public beach or Manuel Antonio Nat Park in 5 minutes time...
Anita is extremely helpful with great food and trip recommendations in the area. She is a great host.
Accueil parfait , petit dej bon, accès cuisine .
First off, the views from Casa Buena Vista were AMAZING!!! As a side note, if you get hot really easy, make sure you book a room with air conditioning!!! Manuel Antonio was really hot and humid for my friend and I and without A/C we could not last. We ended up going to another budget hotel and paying additional money so we could get A/C as all the other rooms were occupied. Not the owner's fault, just wished we would have looked into that better. Be prepared to do some walking if you're planning on going down to the beaches from the place. We ended up taking taxi's which were easy to come by. And if you're looking to do some laundry, plan ahead. My friend and I went to a local place to have 1 load of laundry done and it cost $25 US - outlandish! Overall, Manuel Antonio is a beautiful place just wished we planned to go during a little cooler weather :)
Our stay at Casa Buena Vista from Jan 30- Feb 9 2014 was great. Costa Rica is such a beautiful country and our location was excellent. Anita is so helpful- suggestions of what to do and see, places to go, very helpful with directions and arranging car rentals, etc. B&B was excellent- delicious breakfast every morning, room was kept very clean, beautiful view and of course the natural surroundings were stunning. So close to the beach- well worth the hike back up the little dirt path- the beach is perfect. We had a great stay. Would definitely recommend this place; has all your basic needs, with a great host at a great price for an almost beach front property close to so many restaurants, bars, hotels, etc. Thank you Anita and Nuria!
Good view, great breakfast, older, roomy, steps, nice lounge area, Great for the price. Great sunset restaurant w. 2/1 HH, just up the hill a short way. Anita is a great host.
A fantastic tropical experience in a truly authentic house with a rustic feel. Our room (number 2) was very comfortable and with an incredible view of Manuel Antonio beach. We loved spending time in the communal area and especially the balcony in the evening. The view is stunning, you will be immersed in the tropical forest, you will have your privacy and you will get to know Anita, a very kind person who will be able to give you very helpful tips on the area. We love our morning walk down to the beach and up again in the evening through a wild path. We hope to come back here again one day!thank you Anita for having us!
