The Space

Enjoy your stay in New Orleans in a fully furnished and newly renovated 1 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment located in the historic Treme, just one block from the French Quarter. Amenities include queen sized bed, air/heat, furnished kitchen including fridge/microwave/stovetop (no oven)/coffeemaker, cable tv and internet. All the furniture is brand new and the unit is pet and smoke free.

The bathroom only has a shower. No bathtub.

You are walking distance from the French Quarter and popular areas such as Frenchmen Street, the French Market, The Faubourg Marigny, The Riverwalk, Decatur Street, Bourbon Street, Royal Street, and Armstrong Park to name a few. Just a few blocks away (walking distance), there are 2 museums that you must visit: The Backstreet Cultural Museum and The New Orleans African American Museum.

We recommend cabbing to anywhere that is not in walking distance. Public transportation is available nearby but is a bit cumbersome and it's well worth the extra money to experience a Nola cabbie! Pedicabs are also EVERYWHERE and they are very happy to have your business. The streetcar is about a 20 minute walk away on Canal Street is definitely a must on your to-do list during your visit.

The Treme neighborhood is very rich in culture and tradition. It is customary to experience a second line parade, hear the sounds of a brass band in the distance, or musicians practicing on their front porch. Characters of all kinds live in the neighborhood.

  • The place was perfect-clean, comfortable and away from the non-sense. A quick walk and you are right on Burbon St. I would recommend this place to anyone!

  • Amazing location - such a nice short walk to the French Quarter / Frenchmen St, Backstreet Cultural Museum, etc. House is airy and comfortable, could be a bit cleaner but doors are quite tricky to open. Bella was very accommodating when we needed to push our dates back a day. Would recommend to a friend!

  • Well...I will start we the good part: the apartament is really well located and it's very spacious. It's a walking distance from Bourbon street, in a quiet area, which is really good. But apart of that, we were a bit desappointed with the place. It was dirty, the bathroom had hairs all over the floor. The shower was set to hi on the wall, so the water goes straight to the wall in front were you have to lean yoursell to reach it. The toilet was loose from the floor. The front door is tricky, you have to find out the way to close it.

So, the sensation we've got is that no one ever lived there. It's just a room to rent, as a hotel, but with less care.

  • Awesome place, awesome location. Doors a little tricky but easy enough. Very comfortable, clean, and well situated.

  • I had and amazing stay at the place! It was clean and the AC unit worked great.. However, it was rarely needed for the season. It was easy to open the windows and let the place breathe. The apartment was a short / enjoyable walk from the French Quarter and Frenchmen St. I walked home with my GF at night and it was no biggie. Walk safe, and smart or take a taxi if you choose. The doors are definitely weird, I worked to get the hang of opening in the daytime. Typical pain in the butt shutters, you will get it. Leah was able to respond to txts and get back to us quick and accommodate to changes when necessary. Never met them. Never needed to.
Bottom line: The place was affordable, comfortable, in a quiet area and safe. We look forward to visiting again.

  • The best bit about this flat is the location. Not far from Frenchman street where all the best music is now, and you can still walk to the FQ too. Spacious but was grubby and run down, needs a good clean. Kitchen very basic lacked even a sharp knife, so don't expect to be able to cook. Toilet was not screwed on the floor properly so wobbly and sheets did not smell clean - but you get what you pay for. Also you are right on the corner of a road, although not busy with traffic you get woken up by people walking past a lot.
Be careful venturing too far north-east of the flat as there are some rough areas there.

  • Leah was great to deal with, very quick responses. Easy access to apt & in great location, could walk everywhere & so close to french quarter. Enjoyed Leah's recommendations (Port of Call) & maps left out. Clean apt & everything worked. Great heating. Same as previous have said re shower but still does the job! Thanks for a great stay in lovely NOLA!

  • Nice place in a great location. Easy walking distance to French Quarter, and local transportation is close by. Easy check-in/check-out. Had a wonderful time.

  • Great location if you are interested in walking to the French Quarter, Louis Armstrong Park or St. Louis Cemetery #1. Basics are all there. We planned our visit around a Blues/BBQ festival so finding portable lawn chairs in the closet was an unexpected bonus! Leah was helpful and responsive to issues (minor ones that were addressed). Cons - shower is set up for a really tall person! Otherwise - great value.

  • We vacationed here from mobile since we didn't want to venture to far with 2 small kids. Weather made us push back the dates with Leah. No problem at all doing that. Everyone with airbnb was helpful and understanding. Good location. Even though NO delivery drivers could find us. Which was weird. Apartment was nice and cozy. Lots of foot traffic! Only thing we didn't like was the shower head in the bathroom. My husband and I are not the tallest of folk but the shower head pointed about 2 feet above our head and it wasn't able to move down. So we made do :-)...hada good time! Thank u so much!
