The space

A private room with AC which has a double bed and a single. A common area is used by everyone with a large deck, living room and kitchen. We also have a TV room for everyone to use. Secure parking for up to 3 cars is available. I would not recommend it for anyone that is not physically active. There are a number of stairs. WIFI is in the common areas but not in the room.

I will only receive guests after 6 pm by direct request, so ask first if you plan on arriving at night.

The location is great with easy access to Quepos and Manuel Antonio national park. It is also surrounded by wildlife, you can catch the monkeys late afternoon or early morning by the nearby tree. Anita is very kind, helpful and welcoming. Her staff takes good care of the place as well. Thank you !

Anita's place was great for the price and what we wanted. The location was great, walking distance from the quieter part of the beach, it was a bit of a trek but no problem for any healthy person. The room was spacious and had hot water, and we even got extra towels when we needed them. Breakfast was a plus, there was always eggs, sweet bread and coffee. As students who had been studying in Costa Rica for a few months, it was nice to find a spot so open to the canopy and that fed us. The deck was a perfect place to post up and read a good book during the evening rains.

Anita was really welcoming and helpful with all the information we needed! The room was clean with AC and for the asking price, you get what you are willing to pay. The whole house is very nature friendly! There is a common room if you need to cook, relaxe or simply chat with other travelers. If you are lucky, you might be able to see monkeys! Breakfast included is a plus with delicious homemade jam and fresh juice! The only downside is that it is a bit far from the beach and from town. You will be needed to walk 15 mins to the beach or take the bus to town. The wifi only worked in the breakfast area for some reason, it might be a temporary problem perhaps. In conclusion, besides the downside, would totally recommand the rooms and for Anita's hospitality!

Anita is a great Host ! Her hospitality was amazing and she told us lots of cool travel stories, and gave me helpful tips for my vacation. The sunset cruise that she recommended was so entertaining and spectacular ! Breakfast was served every morning, and it was delicious, the eggs, fruit, and baked goods were very tasty... thanks Nuria ! This place is amazing, the view is epic, and it was nice just to hang out on the porch and look out and hear the jungle ! This place is close enough to walk up and hit the restaurants, coffee shops, store, and bus stops every 15 minutes to take you down to the beach. Pura Vida !!

I discover Manuel Antonio 41 years ago after graduating the University of California in Berkeley. Don Melton and myself first did a research project in the National Park and adjoining beaches and decided to make Punta Quepos our home. Don was the local historian and gave educational talks for many groups including National Geografic. We were among the founders of the first Chamber of Tourism in Manue Antonio, founders of ASCONA (Quepos first conservation organization), and have continued to be active in civic and conservations groups to date. I am currently working with a group to establish an animal shelter here in our area. We worked for many years on the problem of drownings (see page 7). I ran my gift shop LA BUENA NOTA for many years and because of my extensive knowledge of Costa Rica, I can answer most questions about our area and some advice about other tourist destinations in Costa Rica.
