About This Listing
This apartment exceeded our expectations. We could not have asked for a more perfect place to stay. It was convenient to the metro, safe, had ample/free parking, and all amenities we needed.
Arielle, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Spacious apartment on the Plateau Mont-Royal, in a highly desirable, trendy location with 1 queen size bed and 1 queen size sofa bed, and Air Conditioning.
Suitable for up to four people.
Fully furnished apartment all to yourself, with private entrance, hard wood floor, high ceiling, and very beautiful private outdoor patio (124 sq f).
The location is great. It’s well known to be safe and secure, right near public transportation to get to the main attractions and just few blocks from everything.
One minute walk to bus no: 24 which operates every 5 minutes non-stop 20 hours a day, and it connects the East to the West of the city, going past the Park Lafontaine, the Village, Museums, art galleries, UQAM, McGill, and Concordia University, and more.
In addition, in less than 7 minutes you can walk to the Metro-(green line).
If you are driving, parking is very easy to find, free of charge, and frankly, for downtown this is a real gift.
The area is central but has a very leafy, quiet, friendly neighborhood feel.
The apartment is on the top floor of a two-story house. This way it's bright and sunny, and there is no one on top of you. Also the view is very nice.

Here are few simple rules to make sure everyone in the house is comfortable:
*Please do not wear outdoor shoes indoors.
*Please do not flush anything other than toilet paper.
*Please keep the noise level down after 11 PM, as homes are made of wood in Montreal and anything loud will disturb other guests.
Along the same line no laundry after 10 PM!
*There is a new dishwasher in the apartment. You are responsible for doing all dishes. When you leave, you may leave them drying, and I will put them away.
*Please don’t smoke inside the apartment.
Tony was very hospitable though we didn't get a chance to meet him. For us Manhattan residents the place was huge! Very clean. We took advantage of the breakfast and snacks he had left because there wasn't a breakfast place on the block that I saw. The neighborhood was residential and quiet and 10 minutes from the Metro. Taking the Metro it took another 20 minutes to get to the downtown areas that we tourists like. I didn't realize that the place would be walking distance to the Botanic Gardens and Insectarium and Olympic Stadium, which was a nice bonus. I know there was a grocery store and pharmacy close by but we didn't go. The apartment is a little creaky, as I hear most apartments in Montreal are. There is a little outdoor patio area that we didn't get the chance to use. There is a washing machine and dishwasher -- big plus especially if you are staying more than a few days. The neighborhood seemed very safe even though it was a big deserted at night -- we heard that Montreal is safe, especially in comparison to Manhattan.
Tony was extremely welcoming! He took plenty of time to walk my friend and I through a map of Montreal, highlighting popular places to visit, good neighborhoods for food/bars, and exciting subway stops. He also showed us where to find the nearest Bixi, where to get groceries, and he thoroughly explained the parking restrictions. He even saved me a spot on the street the night before alternate side parking for street cleaning! The space itself was perfect for two friends - I stayed on the couch bed for the whole week and it was actually very comfortable. We especially loved having the balcony in the back - spent most of the afternoons eating bread and cheese and wine out there. :) I would most definitely recommend staying in Tony's place!
Tony was an attentive and friendly host. He brought a foldout map and took the time to point out the layout of Montreal, its public transport system access points, and host of other useful information. Later he helped arrange a stroller for our toddler - a very thoughtful gesture since we planned to do a lot of walking. I recommend Tony as your host in Montreal without hesitation.
Tony is a friendly and gracious host. He met us when we arrived, provided a number of resources for places to visit in the city - maps, brochures, and his own visitor's guide - and then took the time to go over a map with us to help orient our family to the city and how to use the Metro to get around.
The apartment is every bit as nice as it appears in the photos. There is also on-street parking, there are stores nearby in case you forgot anything, or need groceries. The Metro is a short walk away, and a bus route literally steps from the apartment. We parked our car when we arrived and didn't use it until it was time to leave.
The neighborhood is quiet and residential, and feels very safe. Tony was incredibly accommodating and welcoming, even when we had a last minute change in arrival times. He greeted us in the morning with fresh bakery pastries and the fridge was stocked essentials that were wonderful to find after a long time spent on the road on a rainy night when we were little inclined to go back out in search of a little something to eat. There is plenty of free parking right on the block of the apartment, and there are grocery stores and train, bus, and Olympic Stadium all within walking distance. The apartment itself is spacious, comfortable, and clean, and the private backyard deck is wonderful.
Fully stocked apartment with all the comforts of home. Tony supplied us with some basic food. The apartment is large and there is plenty of room. Even a washer and dryer!
Fantastic location- very convenient to the bus and train. We had a car, and did not have any issues parking close by for 5 days. Tony even messaged us reminders about street cleaning! Very close to a grocery store, a pharmacy, and a McDonalds.
He went over the map with us and gave us very practical advice for Montreal. I recommend this place! We really enjoyed our time here.
