  • all was fine: there was no problem with getting in despite of my late arrival; Tanya lent me pile of guide books / hiking suggestions around NY. also she was very responsive answering my messages before arrival.

flat is 15 min away from the south corner of the Central Park, and also 15 min of walk from the metro station with train connecting to AirTrain to JFK airport. there are plenty of grocery stores/fast foods just around the corner from Tanya's place.

  • The house is not so close to the subway.
Stay ready to bring your luggages up to 5 floors with no elevator. The building is also very very old, like Tanya's house.
You could find some must in your room.
The house always smell of incense or strange spices.
All the house is very very small and not so accured.
I think Tanya is nice but the house doesn't due to a guest.

  • My stay at Tanyas was perfectly fine! She was such a great host - helpful, friendly and easy to life with. The apartment as well as the neighborhodd is nice. The subway, shops, restaurants etc. are close by. I really enjoyed staying with her!

  • I stayed with Tanya for 10 nights and it was a pleasant stay. Tanya was very accomdating and very nice. I was hardly in the room because I was out enjoying the city. In that sense, the room was perfect.

With regards to the room, I knew what to expect because it is as described in the host's description. I had a great stay. It was a nice neighbourhood.

  • Tanya is a very hospitality, active host.
She provides a necessary and essential thing you need.
Her place is peaceful, neat, quiet, even its in Manhattan.
And also easily travel by subway and bus in NYC.

  • Tanya was very easy to get along with. I had no issues while I was there. The room was small, though the location should be the real draw. The neighborhood is nice and the apartment, as described, is close to a few subway stations that got me everywhere I needed to go. Overall, great stay.

  • I stayed with Tanya for a month and had a great time. Tanya is a very welcoming hostess and easy to get along with. Her apartment is at a prime location on first avenue. My room was cozy and there was enough closet space for all my attire which was great.
