Tim is the nicest guy ever. I now consider him as more of a friend than a host. He's been very accommodating, very thoughtful and I felt right at home staying at Tim's. I really enjoy the great conversation with Tim and the other guest, Deb.
I had to travel to Chicago on a 6am flight and arrive back on a very late night flight. Tim was very kind to get up at 4.30am and stay up late just to make sure that I don't sweat about arranging last minute taxi rides.
My room is spacious, neat and great sun light flows in throughout the day. Plenty of power plugs for people with loads of gadgets to charge up. Massive wardrobe with dirty laundry basket all ready to go and stored away. Nice bed and pillows. Bathroom was very well stocked up with anything that you might need. Hair dryer is like a luxury for me. :) kitchen/dining is super tidy and clean, with fruits and yogurt stocked up, that was a big plus as I didn't have time to buy things myself.
Tim's place is so walkable to everywhere and are only about 5 to 10 minutes walk away in a nice neighbourhood. Locals love this area and rate San Carlos as one of the most desirable place to buy/settle. Great wifi and broadband speed as I was testing a new prototype system while running webex call at the same time for a day from home, it was great.
For those without cars, Caltrain is 10 minutes away. Redwood City shuttles back and forth for FREE during peak commuting hours. Love the Vietnamese food around the corner, there a 7/11 there too, or you can just walk up to Laurel Streets (you name it they have it there).
Ultimately, great place to be and best person to meet. Tim is very easy going, fun and informative...He respects privacy at the same time cares about your experience.
We've had great time going out for dinner and coffee... I'm sure we'll be doing more of that.
Thanks Tim, you're a great host and stay in touch ;)
Tim was such a great host! Very friendly and approachable guy, who helped me to get around on my first day when I didn't have a car. He's always willing to help or offer advice when I had any questions about the area or any other things. His place, which is situated in a peaceful and safe neighborhood, is clean and comfortable.
In short, a great place to stay in and a fantastic host.
I stayed with Tim for two nights while attending a nearby conference. He is a very friendly, attentive and accommodating guy as well as a great host. My bedroom and bathroom was very comfortable and clean. His place is located in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of parking. It is very convenient and located just few minutes of driving from local restaurants and shops.
Great host. Also makes fabulous beef stews with organic vegetables, though he might not want me to advertise this; does not typically with the price of the room! Everything you need in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Super conveniently located. Very comfy bed. Great company. Highly recommend.
Tim was an absolutely fantastic host! I stayed at his place for a few days while finalizing my lease as I am moving into a nearby area. I really enjoyed the bed and the amenities available at his house. The room was clean, very comfortable and private. To make things better, Tim was great to talk with and a generally pleasant fellow. The way that he has set up the number pad entry system is a plus, as it takes away the need to carry an extra key. He was professional and accommodating and always made sure I had what I needed and was comfortable. Definitely would recommend the place!
Tim was great! Very friendly and welcoming, and the room was very nice. Would definitely stay again when in the area!
Tim was such a wonderful host! I had a great experience at his home and in San Carlos, with many thanks to Tim's recommendations. The home and other amenities are exactly as described and impeccably clean. I wish I could have taken the bike for a spin. I greatly appreciated having a quiet place that felt like home to come back to after long days at a conference nearby.
(For those who have meetings at the Sofitel, it was an easy 35 minute walk from the house.)
Tim is also a lot of fun to just chat with and watch some good baseball, too.
Thanks again, Tim!
Tim is a seasoned airbnb host and takes pride in ensuring your stay is hospitable. He has a fantastic home with everything one could wish for in their stay (including a TV - a rarity in the airbnb community). I was grateful for use of his kitchen amenities and delighted he had a great hairdryer in the guest bathroom (but saddened I didn't make use of the jet spa tub). I met another lovely guest staying in another of Tim's spare bedrooms and the household was peaceful, respectful and comfortable. A terrific haven for us hard workers in the tech community of San Francisco Bay area.
Tim was very nice host.
We lived in the violet room, which was quite small, but clean with comfortable bed. Small decorations, book in drawer, it made atmosphere of home.
Tim is a great host!
He is always willing to help you get around. He knows very well the area and will answer any questions you have.
The town is super safe and quiet and the Caltrain station is only a few blocks away. Laurel st with coffee shops, stores and restaurants is very close too.
The house is just as the pictures and the rooms are super cozy. Everything is super clean and organized in the house.
This was my first time doing airbnb and I was a little worried about the whole thing but I highly recommend staying at Tim's place!
