  • I was lucky enough to have my first Airbnb experience be a positive one. This is a very comfortable home with large rooms and everything one would need and more. I found the location to be quiet yet convenient; there were many stores and eateries nearby. I highly recommend staying here!

Tomo is an excellent host as he is very prompt to respond to email messages if you may have any issues/concerns, provides detailed instructions to reach his property using the metro, and is very willing to receive you/drop you off to the station upon arrive and departure.

Thank you so much, Mr. Tomo!

  • Tomo's place is really great! I thought I had just booked a room but instead had the whole two-story house to myself! (He rents out the other room but there was no one else and he works from the main room downstairs but wasn't there.) The room was a beautiful with a strong, hot shower and strong heater (It does get really cold in the house in the winter)
Tomo was very kind and personable yet doesn't impose. He gives you the keys, smiles, and leaves.
The only problem I can imagine anyone having is the location; it is far from the center of Tokyo (about 20-30 minutes) but that doesn't really matter because nothing in Tokyo is centralized, anyway. The town is small, quaint, and quiet- which, coming from NYC, is a relief especially form the hustle and bustle of Tokyo proper. It's also ten minutes from Kawagoe, which is not to be missed! I'd definitely stay there again, for a longer time even. If you do decide to stay at Tomo's, make sure to go to the maki store on the way to his place from the train station!

  • My overall experience is positive and I do recomend Tomo as host.
About Tomo : before our arrival Tomo has always been available(and fast) to answer my questions by email and not only, even during our stay in his house Tomo has continued to help giving us tips and train info. He is a nice welcoming person and we have enjoyed meeting.

About the location &house: It is residential area, quiet and as described, 35minutes train (700yen return ticket) from Ikebukuro (Yamanote JR line). The house itself is perfect for a (short or long) stay and although we did not use the kitchen it was nice to know we were allowed to (washing machine works perfectly too). The room spacious enough for 3 people, we did not enjoy the balcony due to the cold weather but nice to have a spot on the sun. A/C old but works.

Tips: Tomo is a very open person who will do his best to meet your needs, don't feel shy to ask whatever it is. He is more than willing to help you.

Tomo San, thank you for everything.

  • Mr. Tomo is very nice and friendly. He allowed me to extend the stay without any problem. The room itself was very good and comfortable. The location is just outside of Tokyo but it is easy to take the train and wandering around.

  • Tomo is the best host ever. He left his home in our care within just minutes of knowing us. He was very helpful, going above and beyond the call of duty. We would ask for information and he would print out articles, we would ask for directions and he would print out maps and make annotations for us. Great guy, it was an absolute pleasure staying at Tomos place. Thank you Tomo

  • Fantastic stay! Tomo is one of the most accommodating and thoughtful hosts I've encountered so far. Knowledgeable too! As for the place itself, it's easily accessible from the Tobu line, which connects to many major stations. While the place is peaceful and quiet, bustling locations like Kawagoe and Tokyo are only a few train stops away. For newcomers to Japan, this is the ideal stay. That's not to say it won't suit frequent visions too however. Thank you, Tomo!

Hi, my name is Tomo. I am a management consultant. Let me help you enjoy your stay in Tokyo and Japan to provide two rooms on the second floor of my office. My office is a house which has a kitchen, a bathroom and two wash rooms. While I work on the first floor, you can freely use the space on the second floor and the kitchen on 1st floor. As I am not always in my office and so might not be attentive, you can relax and feel at home just like your second home in Japan. My wife could help you and answer to your questions when I am out of town. We welcome families with kids. I have visited Italy, Greece, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Philippines and lived in US before. I love classical music.
