The Space

House uniquely offers (1) sleeping accomodations for up to 11 persons, (2) thoroughly upgraded house with classical design set up clutter-free like a hotel suite, and (3) location on the edge of campus and close to everything by bus or cab.

In the past we rented our home for football weekends, and expanded that for most of the year.

You'll find a cozy living room with HD TV and stereo opens to a modern kitchen. There are two first-floor bedrooms (with full bath), one in the basement (with another full bath), and room for a slumber party in the loft (four beds and an air mattress). The garage is Ping Pong Central and the back yard offers a fire pit and gaming area.

  • Clean, comfortable house close to the university and walking distance or a short drive to downtown restaurants and shops. John is a thoughtful host and we felt right at home immediately in his spacious, well-appointed home. The garage with ping pong table was a fun bonus and we loved sitting on the front porch watching fireflies at night. Highly recommend!

  • John was very hospitable and went the extra mile to see that we were comfortable. He put together a new grill just so we could have dinner that evening. The house was clean and the neighborhood fit our lifestyle well.

  • This is a beautiful house within walking distance of Central Campus and the athletic campus. I was in Ann Arbor for a wedding with several friends, and this house slept 11 of us comfortably. John went out of his way to make us feel comfortable, and was happy to let us know all of the new restaurants and changes to Ann Arbor since we all left. It definitely felt that all of us lived in Ann Arbor again. There was even enough room for all of us to watch a few world cup matches in the living room.

  • John was the ultimate host. His house was absolutely great and he took care of us in every way.....even left food on the counters, waters, beers, etc for my group. Very easy going and accommodating. I would highly recommend for anyone coming to UofM for a visit

  • I was unable to attend a group get-together in Ann Arbor, but helped booked this house. The guys who met John said he was extremely easy to deal with and even went as far as leaving beer in the refrigerator. The house met every need for the guys that ended up attending and they all said they would use his house again in the future.

  • We rented John's house for my family over graduation weekend and it was perfect. Beautiful, clean and central accommodations. Great space for a graduation party, with grill and outdoor space. I highly recommend.

  • The house was clean and perfect for our needs (7 adults getting together for a family event nearby). John is a responsive and exceptionally thoughtful host, leaving excellent treats in the fridge that covered us on breakfast, coffee and bottled water for two days. One of our considerations in booking the house was cost, and this one was significantly cheaper than other houses in the area. Two apparent reasons for that: The neighborhood is pure student -- which could be good or bad, depending on what you're looking for (in our case, not what we were looking for, but it didn't bother us) -- and the top-floor bunk room has a mighty low ceiling. Overall, though, a comfortable stay and a terrific value.

  • John, thank you so much for a wonderful cozy home. The house had plenty of towels sheets nice smelly soap and shampoo. We came to Ann Arbor for Graduation and we had a great time there thanks to the best accommodation.
