Large, beautiful, designer loft - seriously centrally located in our favorite city!
The space
We absolutely love this large, 1700 SqFt, open-plan loft.
Recently refreshed in 2023, it is airy and bright with a modern design, polished concrete floors, custom-tiled bathrooms, a gleaming modern kitchen and fast WiFi.
The separate bedroom suite has a comfortable, king-sized bed (with a new Thuma memory foam mattress), comfy chairs in a private reading/TV nook, and a dedicated work desk. The large walk-in closet, complete with a vanity and lighted make-up mirror, has space for all your needs. The en-suite bathroom features a walk-in two-person shower with three shower heads and phenomenal water pressure.
Two more guests sleep comfortably on the designer, custom-built Murphy bed concealed behind its own privacy wall in the main living area. It has a full-size mattress that guests swear is the most comfortable night's sleep they've had in a long while. When not in use, the bed folds neatly away behind custom cabinetry. The guest bath has a large, glass-walled shower and laundry facilities behind a retractable door.
Enjoy the bright and clean, fully-equipped kitchen with Electrolux appliances, gas cooktop and a large island. We supply, coffee, tea, and plenty of dishes, glassware and cookware - even a set of non-breakables for your little ones. The dining table seats six comfortably.
The living room has two large sofas and a 66” television including fully equipped Apple TV with most of the streaming services - Apple+, Netflix, Disney+, HBO, Hulu etc.
Interesting art work, a huge supply of books of all types, and a few board games/puzzles for your down time complete the experience. We supply abundant toiletries, towels and linens. There are hairdryers in both bathrooms, a Bosch washer & dryer with all laundry supplies, and an iron and ironing board.
Most of all, when you are visiting our favorite city you should be in the center of it all! Perfectly located in the heart of downtown Boston, our large loft is just steps way from all subway lines and a full-service grocery store, one block from Boston Common and a short walk to the Public Garden, the State House and the start of the Freedom Trail.
South Station, the Financial District and the Theater District are all less than 10 minutes walk.
Beacon Hill, Back Bay, The Charles River Esplanade, Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, Boston Convention Center, Institute of Contemporary Art, The New England Aquarium, The Boston Children’s Museum, and the famous North End are all around 15 minutes walk.
And if that doesn't cover everything, Fenway Park, Harvard Square and the Museum of Fine Arts are all just a quick ride away on the T.

NOTE: The street is pedestrianized for one block in all directions so you will need to walk a block, with your luggage, from the nearest drop-off point. Parking is available at the Lafayette Garage about two blocks away.
The apartment is in a secure building with elevators.
There is a strict No Smoking/No Pets/No Parties or events policy.
Children are welcome although our home is not 'child-proofed".

PARKING
The most convenient parking is Lafayette Garage at 1 Ave de Lafayette at the Hyatt Hotel. Once you’ve parked, you’re just a block or so away from our building. Cost is $40/day with in-and-out privileges. (You can find them online for further info at Lafayette Garage or Pilgrim Parking.)

BAG STORAGE
While we do what we can, when we can, to accommodate after hours check-ins and outs, that’s often not possible. As an alternative, we found a great storage option for your bags just around the corner from our building at a souvenir shop called Underground Express at 31 Winter Street. The shop looks a little sketchy from the outside but I’ve met the owners and they are super-friendly and very efficient. The cost is $5 per bag and luggage is kept secure in a locked area at the back of the store. Their online reviews are excellent and previous guests of mine have rated them highly.
HEAT/AIR CONDITIONING
Our 100-year-old building has a chiller/boiler system for heating and cooling. As a result, we have Air Conditioning only (no heat) from roughly mid April to mid October depending on the forecast. Conversely, from October to April we have heat only - no air conditioning. The apartment stays comfortable year-round but we provide fans and a space heater in case they are needed.
