The Space

Your home in Rome!
This is the Red Room, first floor, it shares the bathroom with another room (Violet Room)

There is a confortable breakfast room with a great espresso machine, the breakfast service it's a very important part of the hospitality; everyday i offer home baked food, fresh croissant, scrambled eggs, yogurt, cheese/ham, fruits, cereal, espresso, tea, coffee, cappuccino.

It's an happy and colorful place, i pay much attention to the cleaning and good hospitality of my guests.

A lot of people says about me and my place that it seems like to stay at home.

The Bed&Breakfast is located in Trastevere area, a very famous and touristic neighborhood full of characteristic restaurants, bars and shops
15 minute walking from Pantheon or Navona square, 20 minute wolking from Colosseum.
Right down street there are very efficent connections by trams and busses to reach whatever city sights during night and day.
the room facing in a courtyard and it makes the flat VERY quiet.

From the first of January we have in Rome a touristic tax :(
the city mayor asks 2€ per person/day that you have to calculate up the rate and pay cash when you chek-in

Interaction with Guests

I live in the same flat and i will be always available to answer your questions and deal with your needs

The Neighborhood

Trastevere is the best neighborhood of Rome, as you can see from the pictures it is a characteristic area of the city center. Plenty of restaurants, bars, pubs and shops, it's very alive in the night.
My place is not on the middle of the night life so the flat is very quiet.

  • I had the most pleasant stay in the Red Room! Mario and Stefania are very warm and welcoming and gave great advice on where to eat and go and also fix a great breakfast. Nice room with free wifi. Shared bathroom, clean and tidy. Good communications in to the old city.
I had a late flight home the last day and could leave my luggage after check-out for later pick up - a service much appreciated.
I can very much recommend staying here! Thanks Mario and Stefania!

  • Mario was the perfect host! The place was spotless, the food was great and Mario was warm and helpful. We also really loved the location--convenient to the sights we wanted to visit and Travestere is a great neighborhood for restaurants and nightlife. We loved our stay here!

This room is in a really good place. We don't need to buy tickets because all is close to this room. We can walk to the Colisseum in 15 minutes, Trevi fountain. We took the bus only to go to Vatican. And the quarter is very nice.

  • We spent 3 nights at Mario's place and Had a very good time. The appartment is very well located , we could do everything by walking. Its very close from Many restaurants in Trastevere.
We had a warm welcome from Mario, who do everything to make you feel like at home.
Thanks for the amazing breakfast which were very diversified and good. The cappuccino is great!

The only negative point was the bathroom which is very small , a bit smelly and the shower had a very low pressure which is not so practical especially for girls for washing hair ; )

But We will definitly recommand this place to friends who wants to visit Rome!

  • We really enjoyed our stay in the red room. Mario and Stefania were great hosts and helped us map out our itineraries for the 3 days we were in Rome. My husband and I really enjoyed the Trastevere area. It was filled with several great restaurants! We really loved the gelato at Fatamorgana http://(email hidden)/web/ (thanks for the recommendation Mario!) We would definitely recommend this B&B! Everything for the most part is within walking distance. One thing to note about getting there... take the train from the airport to Termini station and then spend the money on a taxi to the B&B. We attempted to take a bus from the train station and it was a horrible experience.
