The flat is composed by:
•a little but complete kitchen, with stove, fridge, oven, washing machine and a typical marble sink;
•a little but practical bathroom, with washbasin, WC, bidet and large shower box;
•a dining room, provided with vintage furniture;
•a wide bedroom with double bed (if required it is possible to have 2 additional single beds).
The heating is provided by a hot-water heater.
The apartment has been totally restored but some ancient parts have been maintained, for example the nineteen Century "graniglia" floor and the original vaults.
The flat is at the second floor of a Palazzo dei Rolli, a magnificent palace built in XVI century, is located in a pedestrian area, no Parking is available; there is no lift.
The palace is in the old center of the town: all the museums, ancient churchs and palaces, are very close; you have no difficulties to find a pub a restaurant or other tipycal locals.

La casa pulita e accogliente è in un bel palazzo dei Rolli; in centro, a pochi minuti da tutto quello che offre la stupenda Genova.
Davvero uno bella esperienza.
Alfonso and Alessandra rent their smallish but sweet and clean second floor apartment in the center of the historical district in Genoa. The pair of owners make themselves available for questions and advice, and are wonderfully sweet people. We stayed five nights. Alfonso speaks English and is extremely knowledgeable about the area. He gave us great leads on things to do which included a visit to a local palazzo - which just happened to be free to the public one night while we were in Genoa - five or six floors of amazing art, furniture and clothes, etc. (Palazzo Spinoli - a must see). Genoa itself is a gem. A castello, several palazzos, an impressive aquarium and the historic district with buildings and art dating back as far as 1,000 years. Wait until you see the duomo in Genoa! Alfonso places self- tour guide booklets in multiple languages for guestws to share for free. Don't miss taking yourself on the self-guided tour of the Medieval Genoa. Take the 34 bus to Staglieno Cemetery! Alfonso has a self-guided tour book of the cemetery which is an absolute hidden world treasure! Truly. Look it up on (website hidden)-images for a peak at the incredible sculptures. Watch out for tour guides there; you won't need them with the self-guided tour book you will find in the apartment. A grocery store is about a block away. Well-stocked kitchen. Alfonso made very safe and reasonable arrangements for parking our rental car. Wifi worked like a charm!

the place is really nice and cosy! super!! - it has a great "old" genova feeling to it that makes it so unique! Very good internet connection, tv, nice comfortable bed- all´s good!! I would go back for sure!
Alessandra and Alfonso were wonderful hosts to us. They were quick to respond to all our questions. The Boccanegra apartment is absolutely charming, convenient to all the historic locations. We were in Genoa to visit family and the apartment was an excellent base. We hope to have an opportunity to stay there again.
Our family of 3 (husband & 11 year old son) stayed at The Boccanegra for 2 nights at the beginning of October. We had a great time exploring the historic area as it is extremely well situated to so many sites. The apartment was clean and the beds very comfortable and the apartment was so quiet at night; something we had not experienced in other big Italian cities:)
The kitchen is well equipped to cook meals, and there is a great hand made pasta shop just down the road. Alessandra & Alfonso were very good hosts & took very good care of us!
The husband and wife hosts were fantastic! They were helpful with ideas, accommodating with times and maintained good line of communication throughout. Alessandra met us at a carpark and showed us the way to the apartment (the centre of Genoa is mainly for pedestrians and really small cars so we had to park about 1km away). Whilst walking, she gave us a mini history tour and pointed out places of interest, nice deli places, good restaurants and breakfast cafes. Once we were at the apartment, she showed us how things worked, gave us a city map and wrote on it things we were interested in - awesome!
The apartment is centrally located, well equipped with anything you might need during the stay and quite spacious. We highly recommend anyone staying there from a couple of nights to a couple of weeks. Would stay there again.
