We also have a nice large park near by called Shenley Park. You can go for a walk or run or take your children to play.
There are several gyms near by. You could get a day pass or weekly pass.

Schlomit made us feel very welcome. The room is very well-equipped and clean as well as quiet. The bathroom is across the hall and good, too. This is a convenient neighborhood , and we chose it as it is close to our friends' house on the next street.
Had a great time at Shlomit's place, she was very friendly and welcoming. The room is in a private basement with a big cozy bed that was very comfortable. Great location in Squirrel Hill with easy access to the rest of the city.
The room was clean and neat. I had access to a microwave and a refrigerator to store food. I had my own bathroom to use. Everything was clean and I was comfortable there.
Shlomit and her husband, Danny, were both incredibly kind and informative about places to see in the city.
They're working on finishing some renovations which are already going really well.
The hosts were very accommodating and waited for my arrival even though I was late. My rooms were clean and comfortable, and the amenities were just as described on the listing. The neighborhood is amazing! I would definitely recommend this room.
The neighborhood was great and it was a close drive to get pretty much anywhere in Pittsburgh. Shlomit and her husband were very friendly and accommodating. I was out and about most of the time, but the few interactions we had were pleasant. Very nice home!
It's really a pleasant stay in Shlomit's house. She is so nice and make us feel at home. The room is pretty warm and we do appreciate the good-condition bathroom and the refrigerator. Shlomit is so kind that offered us breakfast! The location is wonderful, with convenient transportation to CMU where my girlfriend is currently studying in. Besides, there is a lot of Chinese restaurants within walking distance.
Next time when I go to Pittsburgh, I won't hesitate to stay in Shlomit's!
Shlomit was a very gracious host to my girlfriend and I. Though we only stayed for a weekend, she was extremely accommodating and friendly, but also very respectful of our privacy. The room was very comfortable and warm despite it being freezing outside the weekend we came, and Shlomit provided us with some snacks and dining utensils, along with access to a private refrigerator downstairs. I would definitely stay here again next time I need a place to stay in Pittsburgh.
My husband and are a semi-retired couple from Israel. We have been living in Pittsburgh for over thirty years and even though our children moved away, we decided to stay in Squirrel Hill. I (Shlomit) am a retired teacher and I love to meet people from all walks of life. My husband (Dani) is an architect and he still likes to work on variety of projects.
We are looking forward to meeting you. Shlomit and Daniel Har-El.
