We both love this house!
Very traditional Japan style house in a convenient and cozy location.
Two guest room in second floor are fit for family to live in,with a beautiful living room and little garden at ground floor.
And thanks KAZUKI families rent his house for us.They are very friendly and attentive.
Great house and great host.
Excellent location, 8 minutes walk to the Sky Tree, and very helpful and friendly hosts. However, we thought the charge was too high, especially as the hosts did not supply any breakfast. Our room was clean but basic and the house is old.
As others have said, Aiko and Kazuki's home is gorgeous and they are lovely.
The location of their home is easily and quickly accessible to everywhere in Tokyo via train and Metro. But there's plenty on their doorstep - grocers, 7-11, tourist shops within the sky tower, and exceptional Yakitori, Sushi and Spanish restaurants. There's even a wine bar within a minutes walk if you fancy some tapas and a glass of wine - plate of tapas and glass of wine is about £6 - a very good price in Tokyo.
House highlights include - two big rooms for their guests; snacks and bottled water; beautiful woodwork & traditional decorations which photos can't give justice to, and, a heated toilet seat (don't mock it til you try it!).
But, the location and house are nothing without good people, and Aiko and Kazuki are very good, special people. I had such a great time, with them and their friends, in local restaurants and in their home. I hope that they will come to London soon so I can return the hospitality and show them some great pubs...
We spent a week at Maeda's house, along with our 2 little children. Kazuki and Aiko were lovely and warm with the four of us, it really made our stay very easy as we knew our kids were comfortable with our hosts. The House is typically Japanese, from the bedroom to the bathroom and I guess it would be a great experience for guests that never experienced it before. Our kids loved it !
The location is good, and very convenient when coming from Narita airport. Served by 2 different subway lines at a 5mn walk, it made all destinations inside inner Tokyo very easy - if not quick - to reach. A great stay, and we will definitely come back !
My only warning, as we had 2 cold days during our stay, would be for guests coming in winter to be prepared as traditional Japanese houses can be very cold. Luckily, heaters are there !
Kazuki is a wonderful and thoughtful host. We enjoyed staying there very much. After 10 days of hotels in various cities, we truly appreciated the traditional decor and living. It was a great glimpse into living in Tokyo. The Skytree is a short walk away and lots of food, shopping the subway are all there. You couldn't ask for anything more.
Hello, my name is KAZUKI. I love to travel and eat local cuisines. I live in this house with my wife, AIKO, and we are working in the center of Tokyo: I'm in an advertisement company, AIKO is in a pharmaceutical company. We love to talk with guests, and we can recommend some attractive spots for you. Enjoy Japanese-style!
