About This Listing
Lighty, silent and spacious double room with private bathroom in a nice apt, located in a very special neighborhood, 25 min from city center. The best solution to avoid the crowded city after a long day of tiring sightseeing. Just a perla!
In a very peaceful and wealthy area, not far from the center, I rent a very nice room (14 sqm) with two single joined beds, AC, Wi-fi, a big private bathroom and balcony.
Included in the price are clean linen, towels and breakfast with pure italian coffee, tea, milk, toasted bread, jam and eggs.
Guiding books are in the room.
You can also find warm and crispy pizza and lovely cakes just around the corner, and also fresh fruits and vegies every morning coming from the surroundings and sold in a daily market nearby. I would also recommend a very well known restaurant run from a family of Rome (which is just a pearl!), and one of the best ice cream artisanal laboratory in Rome selling 6 different types of chocolate (with a little book crossing corner)!!
The room and the whole apartment are light and very well refurbished, located at the 4th floor of a 60's building without lift.
To be honest, the outside of the building may need to be restored, but the apartment was completely renewed in 2009 and all the surroundings are very well kept.
All the expenses and final cleanings are included in the price

Interaction with Guests
I used to travel a lot and I really love to meet people from other countries.
I'll be happy to answer you and to be helpful, but basically I try to give you the more privacy I can.
I can speak English, French, Italian and just a little of Spanish.
The neighborhood in early 20th Century was a holiday area for very rich people of Rome. Now you find charming villas together with 50's and 60's building in a special atmosphere that make this aerea very desirable.
The name "Città Giardino" (Garden City) should give you the sense and the colour of this special atmosphere... whereas the sounds are mainly coming from little birds...
The apartment is well connected by bus ( 90, 60 express, 84, 86) with the center and the Metro A (1,5 euro ticket )
In about 30 mins you can reach the heart of Rome: Piazza Venezia (60bus, 12 stops, every 6 mins) and the Coliseum (14 stops)
In aproximately 20 minute you can reach "Termini" railway station (90 or 60L bus, 12 stops, every 7 mins) in normal trafic conditions.
The railway station "Nomentano", at 4 bus stops (84), connects you directly with Fiumicino Airport.
From Termini Station, Terravision busses go to Ciampino Airport every 20 mins.

From Jun 1 - Aug 31, 2015 the minimum stay is 2 nights.
We stayed at Mila's home for 3 nights.
Mila welcomed us with refreshing drinks and cherries and gave us a tour around the house to explain a few things and helped us to plan our stay in Rome.
The flat was really nice. We especially liked our room. It was big, cozy and the two big windows to the balcony let a lot of light in. She let us use everything in the well-equiped kitchen including the food and spices. It was missing a dishwasher but that wasn't really a problem to us. The flat itself has a great location a bit out of town but not too far outside and with very close and direct bus connections to town. Our breakfast was tasty and always a good start for the day.
The only thing I didn't like too much was our private bathroom: There only dribbled very few water out of the shower head and when you used water in the kitchen there was none in the shower. It's a problem with the water pressure in the house so you can't blame Mila for that but still it was a bit annoying. There could also be a curtain for the shower so that you don't shower the whole bathroom all the time and some people might miss the possibility to lock the door.
However that doesn't change the fact that we still had a GREAT stay and are very grateful for Mila's hospitality, friendliness and the hints she gave us so that we could make the most out of our days in Rome.
Camilla was an amazing host. We arrived really late on our check in day, but she was extremely accommodating and stayed up to wait for us. Not only that, she spent time explaining everything we need to know at the apartment and it really felt like home. Each day, she made sure there was food in the fridge for us to eat breakfast. She was always open to answering our questions and showed us how to get Everywhere! She had a map prepared for us and even looked things up for us online if we needed to call a company or find routes to certain locations.
One negative, the outlet in the room is very old and on the first night we plugged in our adapter and it blew it out. So we needed to buy a new adapter, but thank goodness our electronics were ok! For the rest of our stay we used the outlet in the bathroom which was not too convenient, but it wasn't a problem for us.
The apartment is cute, nice balcony, fairly easy to get to the city but the buses are crowded and you need to stand during rush hour for about 30min.
We found a really nice coffee shop right across from her street with great prices and a nice atmosphere. And Camilla recommended a dinner place for us one night with great food and lots of wine! Overall, excellent host and apartment... Would definitely recommend!
We really enjoyed the neighborhood. Even though it was a little far from town, the bus was easy to take into Rome (20 minutes), and it really felt like we weren't tourists, but Italian guests living in a neighborhood which we like. Mila came and met us at the station when we were late getting in which was so kind. Really appreciated being able to wash clothes during our 4 day stay. Nice view from the balcony. It is on the 4th floor (5th floor American). We were warned! :-) Enjoyed Mila - actually wished I could've talked to her more, but she did give us our privacy!
Stayng at Mila's place was very nice. The area was beatiful and authentic, the bus contact to the sights was easy. Mila is also a very lovely and helpful host.
Grazzie Mila a presto.
