* About Daejeon
Daejeon is famous for 'Daedeok Science Town', Yuseong hot spring and Daejeon EXPO '93.
Generally, this city isn't crowded with people, so is suitable for the travelers who want to relax and see how typical Korean live.
I can recommend some spots where is worth visiting.
Here are some tourist attractions near my home :
- National Science Museum
- Expo Science park
- Daejeon Museum of Art, Lee Ungno Gallery
- Hanbat Arboretum
- Yuseong hot spring
- Daejeon citizen observatory
If you enjoy riding a bicycle, you can use the bicycle rental system 'Tashu' operated by Daejeon city. (Tashu might sound like Russian but it’s a friendly Chungcheong Province dialect to encourage people to ride a method of transportation)
You can easily rent and return a bike after getting authorization via a Hankkeumi Card (transportaion card) or cell phone.
There are 22 unmanned rental centers and 260 bicycle racks and one of unmanned rental centers is located beside my apartmenet!
You can rent a bike free for the first 60 minutes and then will be charged after the first 60 minutes.

I would highly recommend this place! It was really as described: a cozy stay at their apartment! The host is the friendliest and kindest host that you could imagine. Eun and her husband picked me up from the express bus stop, helped me to settle down at their place very quickly and to get familiarised with the area. They are knowledgeable about the places around, I got very much help for my short trips around Daejeon, especially KAIST, the river nearby and Gyeryongsan National Park. I also got to experience the public foot spa at Yuseong (it's free and good!) and the Daejeon EXPO park and bridge together with the host. I am blessed with wonderful and healthy home-cook food and drinks made by Eun as well. They went to the extra mile to make sure I am safe and healthy. They were caring and gave me extra helping of food for the meals they prepared to make sure I had eaten enough, and that was a kind gesture to me. I loved the room as it was very clean and comfortable for a good rest. I am really thankful that they gave me their precious time to host me and I was certainly well taken care by them. I am particularly encouraged by the reasons they open up their space for travellers and I enjoyed the chats about almost everything in life. It was a great homestay experience with them especially because of the things that did for me. Thank you very much for having me at your place!
I totally love my stay at Eun Park's place. First, she and her husband kindly offered to pick me up at the station and even prepared a meal for me. Their apartment is very peaceful and near a lot of stores, so getting food/meals and riding buses are very easy. The room and the whole apartment are very clean and complete with all the necessities, especially the bathroom which has heated toilet. They even prepared electronic blanket for me since it is winter. I had very good sleep every night. Mrs. Eun and her husband takes care of me of lot. On my first night, they walked with me around to area to help me familiarize with the place. They advise me a lot concerning transportation and fees for my daily trips. They always ask me how my day went and we share a lot of stories. I learned a lot about Korean culture with them. When I got sick, Mrs. Eun will always prepare warm honey drink for me.
I really feel blessed and lucky to stay at Mrs. Eun's apartment with her husband. This is my first time in Korea and using Airbnb and I did not regret it. I love the place. I am very well-taken care of by Mrs. Eun and her husband. Staying with them was the highlight of my trip because I feel very secure, welcome and well-taken care of. I will definitely stay with them again if I ever come back to Daejeon, Korea.
My first visit to Korea was one of the best holidays ever. Mrs Eun and her family opened their very beautiful home. I was like a member of their family learning a lot of korean culture and everyday life. We had nice discussions, walking in the arboreum and many other wonderful times together.
This was my first trip in Asia, and in Korea in particular. Because I like to discover as much as possible a country and its culture during my trips, I wanted to stay in a B&B rather than in an hotel. I've went to Eun's home firstly because it was the closest from my work place, close to the KAIST university.
Eun's house is indeed very cozy. But more important, Eun and her family are very kind, always full of attentions, and like to share their culture. This is exactly what I expected, and they mainly contributed to make my journey in Korea a great experience !
In February,2013, i booked a room in Mrs.Eun's house for my mother to stay while having her trip in Korea to make sure about my older sister's study in Solbridge international school - Woosong university. My mom has received just so much care and help from Mrs.Eun and her family. My mother once said that she had never met anyone or any family that was just so nice, generous and lovely like Mrs.Eun's family ! Mrs.Eun and her husband have helped my mother a lot with the bus, taxi and the subway, as a daughter of my mom and couldn't go to Korea with her,i feel really relief, happy and lucky for my mom because she has such a wonderful host. Mrs.Eun and her husband even took my mom to go shopping with them, cook delicious Korean food and give my mom a feeling of being a part of their family ! They also gave a lot of cares for my older sister! They spent their time discussing things out with my sister and listening to my mother's confussion . When my mother get to Korea on her first day, Mrs.Eun keeps on sending me messages to let me know and update the news of my mom, as for me, i really like Mrs.Eun and her family even when i only spoke to her on the phone, contacted with her through the internet and heard about her kindess through my mom but i always want to meet her and her family someday in the future !! My mom has had a best trip to Daejeon- Korea ever !! Mrs.Eun once told me that in Korean culture, they see guests as a family's member! what a lovely culture !
Mrs.Eun's house us very beautiful and full of convenient with best facilities like the washing machine and the cozy blanket ! Uf you ever get to Daejeon, you should come to Mrs.Eun's house !!!
