About This Listing
Luxurious, spacious and eclectic is the only description of The Rabbit Warren - this wonderfully re-furbished suite. Encapsulated in a 1925 traditionally built Singaporean shophouse, this is 1 of 3 newly refurbished suites on the 2nd floor of this beautiful traditional building.
Located in the Joo Chiat area on Singapore's East Coast and which has undergone a rapid gentrification.
The room is above a restaurant with the added advantage of having been sound proofed from below to minimize disturbance and yet provide easy access when guests would like to try a meal in the wonderful Rabbit Carrot Gun.
10 minutes from Changi International Airport and 10 minutes from Singapore's CBD (central business district)
Taxis are plentiful and cheap by international standards. Buses are frequent should you choose the communal taxi.
The Joo Chiat / Katong area is a great location from which to explore all that Singapore has to offer or simply as an alternative to staying in soulless business hotels.
Consider The Rabbit Warren as your home away from home whilst in Singapore!!
Maid service can be arranged as well as outside catering for functions

Excellent location, really enjoyed the big breakfast to start each day at Richards restaurant below. Richard is a great host and the room was perfect.
The host wasn't there to receive us so it was the restaurant (owned by the host) staff who showed us to the room instead. Extremely cosy, homely feel but still was as luxurious as any hotel you could.
Location is convenient with buses to the city (20mins), many restaurants, cafes and drinking places around the area. There's a cinema in a nearby mall (5 mins walk away). Beach is also a walkable distance away.
Only gripes is that music from nearby shops starts playing quite early and theres no door to the toilet. Any sound you make while doing any business, as well as any smell can and will be heard/smelled by the entire room. Also the it may be a bit pricey as you can get proper hotels (the room does not provide toiletries but do provide towels) for a similar price.
Host is friendly and replies to emails/enquiries extremely quickly.
Room was not the one I booked but upgrade into another room. Room lovely and lots of space with best bed. Word of caution is that shower and toilet are only divided by glass partition it was not a problem for me as I was by myself. Yes it is a little noisey from restaurant downstairs but that wraps up around 10.30pm and its Singapore, the restaurant and bar are part of the business and the bar was excellent. Don't bother going next door to 328 Laska as the quality is 4 out of 10, just eat in. Morning Coffee from downstairs was 10 out of 10 but don't start serving till 8am and I had left by then but there is a good hawkers market close where I could get my fix of Singapore kick ass coffee. Nice neighborhood and easy access to town by bus directly opposite the street.
Another great stay at Rabbitt Carrot Gun. Logistics are very easy and the restaurant and bar are a great place to spend some time. Lord Trenchard is a warm and interesting host. I will definitely be back again.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Rabbit Carrot Gun - located in Katong, 15 - 20 minutes from central Singapore...
Located above a beautiful, character-filled restaurant and pub and directly opposite what is reputed to be the best laksa in Singapore!
Richard and his team are superb hosts and you can pop downstairs for a cheeky glass of wine (or a wonderful apple crumble and ice cream) as your heart desires.
The only thing to be aware of is the music from the restaurant below - it's great music, but it does play till around about 10:30pm at night, so if you're an early sleeper just bear it in mind.
