Enjoy our lovely home in the heart of the wine country. The Guest House is a bright and airy studio with a private patio and wood burning outdoor fireplace. The house is furnished with one queen bed. There is a large comfortable couch in the living area, and a small kitchenette with coffee maker, toaster, blender, small refrigerator and microwave. The bath has a large double shower. We have a large beautiful pool with lounges and dining area.
Just 55 miles north of San Francisco, you’ll find Santa Rosa, where everything comes together. Wine country and farm country, redwood forests and rivers, lakes and ocean. Santa Rosa downtown and historic Railroad Square are 10 minutes away, and are filled with intriguing shops, great breweries and a variety of restaurants.
Famous chefs flock here – not only for the vineyards, but also for all the abundant local produce, dairy, meat, and seafood. Farm-to-table dining venues abound. The beautiful town of Healdsburg is just 17 miles north and Sonoma, only 20 miles east. Bodega Bay and the amazing Pacific coast are 25 miles west.
“Known as one of the top cycling destinations in the world, Santa Rosa is home to three-time Amgen Tour of California winner Levi Leipheimer, and host to training camps for many elite pro-cycling teams. Santa Rosa is a vibrant melting pot that provides a panoramic sampling of California’s varied terrain: wine country, redwood forests, rivers, lakes, and the Pacific Ocean. In the center of it all is a thriving downtown, dynamic with restaurants that delight both epicureans and casual diners.“

Craige and Jennifer's Guest House is great! The listing is described accurately. The Guest House is essentially a studio apartment with an attached bathroom (really cool sliding door) and offset kitchen. The best traits of this listing are: privacy, cleanliness, interior design, fit and finish. The plants surrounding the private Guest House deck are a nice touch and are Rosemary to boot! Fruit left for us was appreciated and made check-in inviting. Steph and I wished we could have stayed much longer than 2 nights. Highly recommended. Craige was very nice and welcoming when we ran into him. (didn't get the chance to meet Jennifer but I bet she's great).
We enjoyed our stay at Craige's guest house. The place was clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. Craige was nice enough to leave us some fresh fruit and beverages upon our arrival. The kitchen had everything we needed for our short stay. Even though we didn't get to meet our host in person (he was away), Craige was responsive to our queries.
The only downer was a large spider we found on the wall next to the bed when we woke up early in the morning to take off. No bitemarks so all is good :)
Overall this was a pleasurable experience. If you like to have a quiet evening close to the nature after a long day visiting the many wonderful vineyards close by, Craige's got the place for you...
My wife and I (with our little dog) stayed at this beautiful property in our 1st wedding anniversary, and we had a wonderful weekend there. They gave us tons of recommendations about pet friendly places before our arival. Craig and Jenny showed up on Saturday morning and they were very welcoming. The property is located up in a hill a little far from the town so you get a quiet and relaxing environment while close to Santa Rosa downtown. The cottage is neat and private, and it has all you need to have a great time with your significant one. The baked goodies at our doorstep the morning we left was a very nice touch. 100% recommended.
I just wrapped up a great Sonoma weekend in Craige's guesthouse. The property is very quiet and beautiful, and the guest house is perfect for a couple. There were sodas, snacks, coffee, and oatmeal waiting for us, as well as a bunch of magazines and brochures from the area. The "shower for 2" also probably had the strongest water pressure I've ever seen.
The property is only a 5 minute drive to downtown Santa Rosa (it was only a $7 Uber X, which we were able to get very easily).
This is a great spot for a couple's stay in Sonoma!
The guest house is located at a great location just outside of downtown Santa Rosa. It is very quiet and secluded-great for relaxation. Craige made everything SO EASY such as the key exchange and special directions. The recommendations for our stay was very helpful and thoughtful. The guest house is clean and had everything we needed inside-towels, hair dryer, tv, fridge, utensils, cups, plates, blankets. Etc. Due to location, service coverage is very minimal and the WIFI from the house didn’t quite reach the guest house, which didn’t bother us too much, but should be noted. Would definitely recommend this place to others and would stay here again.
Tucked away on beautiful, resort-like property the guest cottage is generously appointed. All communications with host were excellent - thoughtful instructions and regional suggestions. Looking forward to another visit.
I am a designer specializing in bars, restaurants and nightclubs, and my wife is a partner in a small marketing firm here in the wine country. My wife and I moved to the wine country about three years ago and absolutely love it! We feel extremely lucky to be able to live in such an incredible place and are happy to share it with others. We have traveled extensively and enjoy exploring new places. We enjoy cooking, dining out, wine tasting, art, good conversation and hanging out with friends.
We treat our guests the way we like to be treated, giving them all the privacy they are looking for but being there to answer questions or help with reservations when asked. We have arranged free or discounted local wine tastings for our guests at a few of our favorite wineries and are happy to suggest local restaurant or sightseeing options.
