Enjoy our lovely home in the heart of the wine country. The Guest House is a bright and airy studio with a private patio and wood burning outdoor fireplace. The house is furnished with one queen bed. There is a large comfortable couch in the living area, and a small kitchenette with coffee maker, toaster, blender, small refrigerator and microwave. The bath has a large double shower. We have a large beautiful pool with lounges and dining area.
Just 55 miles north of San Francisco, you’ll find Santa Rosa, where everything comes together. Wine country and farm country, redwood forests and rivers, lakes and ocean. Santa Rosa downtown and historic Railroad Square are 10 minutes away, and are filled with intriguing shops, great breweries and a variety of restaurants.
Famous chefs flock here – not only for the vineyards, but also for all the abundant local produce, dairy, meat, and seafood. Farm-to-table dining venues abound. The beautiful town of Healdsburg is just 17 miles north and Sonoma, only 20 miles east. Bodega Bay and the amazing Pacific coast are 25 miles west.
“Known as one of the top cycling destinations in the world, Santa Rosa is home to three-time Amgen Tour of California winner Levi Leipheimer, and host to training camps for many elite pro-cycling teams. Santa Rosa is a vibrant melting pot that provides a panoramic sampling of California’s varied terrain: wine country, redwood forests, rivers, lakes, and the Pacific Ocean. In the center of it all is a thriving downtown, dynamic with restaurants that delight both epicureans and casual diners.“

We had a wonderful time. The house and property were beautiful! I had a great reunion with my two cousins, and the setting couldnt have been more perfect.
My husband and I stayed at Craige and Jenny's place for 2 nights on a 10-day, 10-year anniversary California vacation. Their place was, by far, our favorite place we stayed on the entire trip. We met Craige briefly (and Bingo the pup) and he was very gracious welcoming us to the property. We actually cut some of our planned wine-tasting short so we could spend some extra time lounging by the gorgeous pool one afternoon. It felt like being at a 5-star resort - except one you get all to yourselves! The guest house had everything we needed and was very roomy and comfortable for 2 people. The distance into town was very short - a quick drive to a great dinner/beers at Lagunitas :) If we are ever back in Santa Rosa, we would 100% stay here again.
This was a terrific space for my best friend and I for the weekend. The house was clean, beautifully decorated, and felt comfortable. We were wine tasting most of each day but did take a quick dip in the pool which was nice and refreshing. I would definitely consider staying at this property again with another friend or significant other.
The guest house was exactly how it was described. The shower - room for two was a bonus I didn't remember reading. The small patio was so relaxing. We felt we had plenty of amenities and enough information to use the property as intended. We did use the pool, the swan was a nice floating addition.
We really enjoyed being in the hills, and the neighborhood. It was a great experience for our first Airbnb experience.
We can't express how much we loved our brief get-away at this amazing guest house! The house was designed and decorated perfectly, the private little garden patio was so relaxing and the huge pool and lounge area was awesome! The location in Santa Rosa is perfect for exploring all of Sonoma Wine Country. Craig sent me a wonderful list of food/wine/activity recommendations prior to our arrival which really came in handy. And, when I left my iphone charge behind, Craige actually personally delivered it to me back in SF. Talk about service and kindness! We highly recommend this guest house to anyone, and can't wait to go back again soon.
This was my mine & my husband's 3rd time stayed at the Walters guest house and each time we love it more! Always so clean and private :) We will always choose to stay here over any hotel in the area! Highly recommend it next time you are in Santa Rosa or exploring the area!!
About the Host, Craige
I am a designer specializing in bars, restaurants and nightclubs, and my wife is a partner in a small marketing firm here in the wine country. My wife and I moved to the wine country about three years ago and absolutely love it! We feel extremely lucky to be able to live in such an incredible place and are happy to share it with others. We have traveled extensively and enjoy exploring new places. We enjoy cooking, dining out, wine tasting, art, good conversation and hanging out with friends.
We treat our guests the way we like to be treated, giving them all the privacy they are looking for but being there to answer questions or help with reservations when asked. We have arranged free or discounted local wine tastings for our guests at a few of our favorite wineries and are happy to suggest local restaurant or sightseeing options.
