  • Beautiful place and property. Wifi was unavailalble in the room. No washer and dryer (even though the listing specified both available in unit. We spent a good amount of time by the pool and listening to the sounds of wildlife on the balcony. Joan wasn't responsive. We called several times with no answer and no call back. Email responses took her a few days as well.

  • I highly recommend staying at this condo. The rooms were spacious and comfortably slept 3 of us. We had a great view of the ocean and could
Watch the sunset every evening from our balcony. The beach was a 15 minute walk or a 10 minute drive to the public beach. If you didn't feel like going to the beach, the pool was a great option. A car is needed if you want to do anything in town and its a good idea to stock up on basic food and drink items (the bar downstairs was very expensive). Upon arrival at the condo, Diego was very helpful with any questions we had and easy to get a hold of through email. One thing that could have been better was the Internet access, the only location that worked was right next to the front door, but other than that this is a great location and much better deal than any hotels in the area!

  • Joan was prompt to all the questions that I have, we were really came to a big surprise place. The condo was beautiful and luxury, we are all 4 nurses and each of us had our king size bed with our own bathroom, 4 balcony looking out the ocean and the forest with all of the wilderness in addition to a huge living room/dining and kitchen. We were there for 6days. The one thing the place lacked of is services and wi -Fi... No Internet sevice in the condo itself, and have to go to Shana hotel for it. We have to call Diego to have clean towels and to have the trashes picked up. There is no concierge on the site, although the Shana hotel concierge Carlos and Maria were very helpful for us,they deserved an A++ for their pleasant, willingness to help us.
Overall, it (email hidden) to stay.

  • (email hidden) to stay, as everything in the area is a cab ride (hills make it hard to walk) and this affords some privacy. Note that some photos show three beds per two bedroom condo but this was not the case for us - could've caused an issue but for a last minute cancellation of one guest. These photos are therefore representative of several units, and your setup may vary.

  • Upon arrival to the condo, we were greeted to something special: beautiful and comfortable furniture, an open-layout of the living room, and three bathrooms with two large sized bedrooms. The air conditioners and fans were exceptional, blowing much needed cold air for relief.

However, all good things must come to an end. We found out that, like a previous reviewer mentioned, the wireless is spotty. Let me make this more clear than that: there will be absolutely no internet during your stay here unless you decide to use data roaming. There is also no phone in the event you need something, say get in contact with the owner? The kitchen is also unequipped with towels of ANY sort. If you make a mess, you are on your own.

Lets talk about the owner: Joan had marvelous communication up to the arrival of our stay. He literally responded within 30 minutes to a few hours of me emailing him. When we arrived, I sent numerous correspondence and nothing was returned. He has hired the most *worthless* property manager, Diego, who prefers to be on the beach or at the pool than provide any assistance. Diego provided the worst excuse as to why Joan did not respond to any of my emails. He only responded once after I coincidentally told Diego that I would place a bad review on this site because Diego flaked out on us one night. Yes, he told us he would come over to speak about tours and he never did. Want a tour? Forget it with this owner and Diego. You'll have to find it yourself.

Again, beautiful place. But, I will skip it because of how poor the communication was with the owner, and Diego.

  • This condo is an excellent layout for 2 couples. It's spacious and quiet both inside and out and its picturesque surroundings are perfect for a beach/jungle get-a-way. The condo has anything one might need to be comfortable in the kitchen, furnishings and bath including laundry although a coffee maker might be my only recommendation for Joan to add. The condo's location is ideal for visitors with a car as it's around 10 minutes from Manuel Antonio National Park and the super market in a vehicle. The restaurant in the condo community is pretty but as was mentioned by a previous visitor not very welcoming or very accommodating although it may have been related to the lack of people in it. There are many lovely restaurants only minutes away in the main area of town. A great excuse to get out and see the area or cook in as the kitchen has anything needed to do so. Overall this place is extremely lovely and relaxing and I highly recommend it for local or expat tourists. The beach is private and lovely, the pool is clean and welcoming and the beds gave a perfect nights sleep. We saw monkeys and a few pair of scarlet macaws. Amazing! Thank you Joan for attending to us on such short notice. We'll be back!

  • As a group of 4, two couples, the 2 bedroom condo was perfect for our 3 night stay in Manuel Antonio. Absolutely gorgeous property and surroundings. Just a short 10 minute walk/hike through the rainforest is a beautiful beach (with many monkey sightings!).

While the condo was absolutely beautiful, it was not stocked well. No paper towels, dishwasher soap, 1 hanger per person, etc. We had come to expect these things when staying at condos/apartments probably the main reason we rent through Airbnb. There is the hotel that the condos are a 'part' of but they are quick to let you know they don't have salt/pepper to spare for the people staying in condos when we wanted to cook our own meal! When we called the head of housekeeping, we still were unable to get basic kitchen supplies for our cooking. However, the next morning we were surprised to find salt, pepper and limes waiting for us when we got back from the beach! A very sweet gesture, but it would have been great for our guacamole if we had it the night before. Taxis are flat rate of ten dollars one way in Manuel Antonio so if you do grocery shopping make sure you grab everything you need in one trip! Also, be aware the wireless is really spotty and there is no phone in the condo.

The bartender at the pool in the evening was AMAZING. Always struck up a conversation, made reservations for us at a local restaurant and we even saw him out and about at night! He also gave us some sugar for the coffee we bought. Be sure to ask your taxi drivers/tour guides/waiters for recommendations for night life. We were surprised to find MA had the best night life for our taste in CR.

We were in Costa Rica for 7 nights and Manuel Antonio was the highlight of our trip. The beaches are gorgeous, the people are incredible friendly and the food is delicious (but pricey). The Byblos chimichanga and at Marluna the Mar y Mar plate were our favorite dishes. Be sure to check our the ADR adventure tour. SO much fun!

  • This place speaks for itself. The condo was HUGE with great finishes and everything we could possibly need. The complex also has a hotel which has a great infinity pool and a bar restuarant with happy hour drinks too! This was by far the nicest place we stayed on our CR trip! Joan was in San Jose but was in touch over the phone for any questions we had. The security gate had our hotel-style passcards, and there was a maid service that turned over the room daily - nice! Huge comfy beds.

Just a short walk out the door and down a path you can find Playa Biesanz, which is this amazing little secluded beach! I was up at 6am for a morning swim each day and there and had it all to myself, Amazing.

I would recommend having a car if you're staying here but it's not much of a walk to the main road that runs through MA where there are more bars/restuarants. We liked Cafe Milagro, Barba Roja, and we drove into Quepos one night and had agreat dinner at El Gran Escape. Of course Manuel Antoino National Park is the main attraction and we really loved the beaches inside the park.

Overall amazing stay and would go back again.

  • We had an amazing time during our stay here!! The location was perfect, nearby a beach ( walking) And if you like a Nice hike you can walk from the famous Manuel Antonio national park back to the apartment. Further the accommodation was marvelous, also with all the facilities of the hotel, which makes your stay easy, as they can help you ( e.g. Getting a taxi). And the pool area was very beautiful, nice scenery and good place to chill and hang out! All with all we really enjoyed our stay, thank you very much Joan!
