Interaction with Guests
We're always looking to make new friends, and very happy to provide recommendations on the local area. There are two couples in the flat, so there's usually someone around to keep you company! If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch, we'll do our best to answer them.
Hackney is a really fun, vibrant area, with fantastic pubs, restaurants, coffee shops and art spaces. Our local pub, the Pembury Tavern, has an excellent selection of local beers, and serves great food. If you prefer wine, L’Entrepot has a fantastic range, and the staff are always happy to recommend something to match your meal. We’re just ten minutes from London Fields and Broadway Market.
If you need to get into the city centre, the train from Hackney Downs reaches Liverpool Street station in about 8 mins, or there's the overground line from Hackney Central or Dalston Junction. Most places in central London can be reached within 30-40 minutes.
If you're coming back late at night, the trains run pretty late, but there are also plenty of night buses running 24 hours.
We are closest to Stansted airport, but also easily reachable from all the other London airports.
Other Things to Note
You might see a dog in some of the old pictures - she belonged to a former flatmate, but they've both moved out now!
In the kitchen, the silver bin is for recycling, the black bin is for non-recyclable waste. There is a small bin by the sink for food waste.
If you want to smoke, please use the roof terrace - there are ash trays out there if you need them.
Please remember to lock the back door when you leave if you've been out on the roof terrace!
