The Space

charming 2 bedroom two bath family home within walking distance of downtown Charlottesville and of course downtown Belmont with the famous Mas Tapas and other great restaurants and a local coffee shop,10 minutes to Monticello.

The porch is stocked with firewood in the winter and lovely wicker seating in the summer - perfect for a cocktail and a book (that's how i spend my saturdays!) or a morning coffee. big lawn in the back with a reading bench tucked in the back, croquet set in the shed, and outdoor dining set and grill. Feel free to grab veggies and fresh herbs from the back garden as and when they are ready!

The kitchen is well stocked with everything you'd need - we are cooks in this house. We can provide sheets and towels.

The house has two bedrooms, the master suite has a queen bed and the downstairs bedroom has a double, and our large leather sofa (new, not in picture, replaced the purple sofa) is also extremely comfortable to sleep on if you have a 5th adult. outside the master suite is a library/study area that can easily fit a crib/pack'n'play for small children, but talk to us about your plans if you want more than 4 people in the house.

For those with allergies - be advised that we have a dog - he is not allowed on all the furniture but he is allowed on the bed in the master suite.

  • Even better than expected! Our family spent 4 nights in this comfortable bungalow for the 2014 UVA graduation weekend. It is close to everything, and very close to Monticello, which we also toured. We were right at home in the house, cooking in the well-equipped kitchen, reading on the front porch and getting a good rest on comfortable beds in a quiet neighborhood. The hosts were extremely considerate with excellent communication. Highly recommended.

  • We needed a place for my family for UVA graduation weekend. This house was just right for our needs. Close enough to school and yet not right in the hustle and bustle. Nice experience.

  • We had a great time at Christina’s house. Staying here was the perfect way to experience Charlottesville. We were able to walk to the downtown area and enjoy the Belmont Park. The neighborhood is quiet and super kid friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone especially families with small children since there are not a lot of breakables and tons of open space.

I am an American, raised abroad, with family scattered about the globe, we are true globe trotters so although my husband and i have a beautiful home we love in Charlottesville Virginia we are often running off to other cities and continents to see our family and friends and have adventures. I am a lawyer and my husband is finishing his PhD. We both have degrees in theology, love wine, good food, art, theater (email hidden)ly debate, and of course our dog!
