Having worked as a part-time concierge at a resort in Santa Fe some years ago, I can share some fun, unique, and traditional highlights if you want some suggestions for both indoor and outdoor activities. Knowing many of the local farmers and chefs in town, I can also give you plenty of information about restaurants and local fresh food.
This is a non-smoking home and property.
Joanne lives in a beautiful home and as a host was very welcoming and helpful. Her house is ~20 minutes' drive from Santa Fe and is peaceful, quiet, and has access to some great hiking trails. We very much enjoyed our stay and would contact her again if in the area.
We were warmly welcomed by Joanne upon our arrival. She took the time to sit with us and answer all our questions about the area and her home even though we arrived after dark. During our 3 day stay, she was available to answer our continuing liteany of questions and also gave us our privacy whenever we needed some time alone. Jonanne's home is bright and spacious and our room was at the opposite end of the hall from hers - so it was easy to have privacy when we wished. Her 2 dogs (Luna and Lobo) were content to be petted and given attention or ignored. So.. dog people and non-dog people will all feel welcome at Joanne's.
I had a wonderful stay with Joanne and her two friendly canine pals, Lobo and Luna. The house is situated in a beautiful area just outside Santa Fe, with convenient access to town as well as a nature preserve with amazing views. The bed was comfortable, the room quiet, (I slept very well!) and the bathroom clean and well-appointed. I used the kitchen to make my morning tea and oatmeal. There's a convenient, nearby shopping area with a grocery store, coffee shop & bakery, and other handy services. Joanne gave great recommendations for restaurants (Cafe Fina is a winner!) and places to visit. She is one of the friendliest hosts - among many wonderful airbnb hosts - that I've encountered and I would gladly stay at her place again. It's a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the mountain views and starry nights.
Joanne was very pleasant and easy going. Her house is both unique and amazing with lots of space and great views. Her 2 dogs were among the best behaved I have ever seen. No need to find walking trails, just head out the front door as this was open country with great views all around. The houses are very spread out in this neighborhood.
I was on a week work trip so having a quiet place to come to in the evening was real nice and town was only 20 minutes down the highway. A real bargain all around.
beautiful home and area, wonderful dogs and very cozy. the bed is super comfortable and you'll melt away and sleep like a baby.
We had a great stay with Joanne and her dogs. Joanne is a wonderful women, who took time with us to explain Santa Fe and New Mexico. The house is beautiful and the Guest Room and bathroom are great. We used the well equipped Kitchen and BBQ ( You must ask her about the Green Chile sausages). We would not hesitate to reserve with Joanne, again.
