  • We had such a great time there. Beautiful huge house with a cool history and plenty of room for our large family. So many interesting things to see and do just on the property itself. Everyone was friendly and fun to be around. Our kids became friends with Sherry's kids and they all had a blast. We will definitely go there again sometime.

  • This is a magical place to stay in Pasadena, and even worth a drive through LA to get to (we came from Manhattan Beach)! The building is on the historic register and will appeal to fans of American history, architecture, antiques, and landscape. Like a trip back in time--with modern amenities! Hint: if there are any Harry Potter fans in your group, you can promise them a stay at Hogwarts! We made this part of my daughter's 11th birthday, and she was over the moon. She even got to see Hollywood from the inside when there was a movie shoot!

The hosts are lovely and friendly and accommodating, working to make your stay as relaxing and comfortable as possible. They even brought my daughter a slice of cake to celebrate her special day. Good coffee and other treats will fill your day as you hike the grounds or explore all there is of interest in the area.

  • Wonderful!!!!

Sherry was very sweet, personable and helpful. And so was Darlena!

The home itself was beautiful and an a experiance in itself!! What a wonderful huge historic home!! My girls just loved it!!

We came for a family reunion and a vacation for our family. Sherry and Darlena were very flexable with the nights and who was staying in what room. One night there were 12 of us and the last night only 5. The best part was we were all together and able to visit. Every morining we would have a wonderful family breakfast and/or coffee. Darlenas coffee is as good as any Starbucks! Sherry has a wonderful French Country kitchen and it felt like the Walton family every morning! Her pancakes are GREAT!!

One morning my sister, Mom, 2 cousins and myself were sitting having coffee before Sherry had started breakfast. When she walked in on us she excaimed "I just love seeing my table full of woman having coffee together!" I knew that came from the heart-I felt like we were staying with family!!

The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is if you are pretentious this may not be the place for you. There are areas of the home that needed to be dusted and some upkeep work but it is a huge place to keep up. However the rooms, bathrooms and kitchen were clean and we always had fresh towels .

It is also a very nice safe area to stay.

A perfect place to stay for a large group. I highly recommend it!! I would stay again if in the area!
