River North is right in the heart of Chicago. Located just steps from the Chicago River and the LaSalle Street Bridge, this condo's location leaves little to be desired. There are grocery stores in walking distance (Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Jewel) as well as a host of top notch restaurants (i.e. Sable, Gilt Bar, the Slurping Turtle). Just north on Hubbard, Grand, etc. are a host of nightlife bars and clubs and just south on State Street and Michigan Ave. there is shopping and the Magnificent Mile. Search the 60654 zip code on Yelp! to see the choices abound.
Just 2 blocks away to the west is the Kinzie and Wells Brown/Purple Line stop. Just 2 blocks to the south is the Clark/Lake stop on the Blue, Pink, Brown, Orange, Purple and Green line. There is the Grand bus just north and the Chicago bush just north of that.
Traveling to and from the O’Hare or Midway airports is nearly effortless. For O'Hare, take the Blue Line to Clark/Lake. For Midway, take the Orange Line to Clark/Lake.
Victor's responses were quick and very complete. Arranging our stay was easy.
The neighborhood is great. There are lots of options nearby for food and entertainment. CVS is just outside the lobby door in case you forgot anything.
We stayed at Victor’s place for a week booking it on a short notice, literally the same day of arrival. Our initial Airbnb booking turned out to be a disaster as the original host checked us into a different condo, totally misleading us. With that we had to work out a plan B with Airbnb Customer Support team. Jointly with Airbnb we began searching for new available openings, contacting several hosts. Victor was one of the first few to reply to us with a very nice, compassionate message saying his place was available. Due to a highly anticipated festival in Chicago during g that week, the asking prices almost doubled, but Victor was willing to negotiate with us giving the situation we were experiencing. All the communication with Victor that morning was very easy, he assured us the place will be ready and clean to our arrival that same day. When we arrived to his 29th fl condo, the view took our breath away. The place had nice furniture, well maintained, fully equipped kitchen and beautiful views of Chicago. We loved all the amenities the building provided (outdoor swimming pool, tennis court, grill area, gym). The location was fantastic, walking distance to shops, bars, public transit- you name it. Our stay would have not been possible if it wasn’t for the host’s hospitality, flexibility, and organizational ability. We absolutely recommend Victor’s place for best experience in Chicago!
The reservation was canceled 16 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Great host, super convenient location, wonderful view. The bed is comfortable, the couch is big enough for an extra person. Definitely recommend staying here if you're visiting Chicago.
The location of the apartment was so close to everything; great restaurants, shops & night clubs. Everything you need was all in walking distance. The view from the apartment, whether it was day or night was breathtaking!
Victor was a great host; made me very comfortable! Definitely staying there again if I do come back.
I stayed at this glorious condo while visiting chicago on business. Victor was a gracious host and the condo had all the comforts of home. The view and location can't be beat, I could sit and look out the window all day if only I didn't have to work. I highly recommend this unit if visiting the city.
