The guest suite was an absolute blessing, and so beautiful!! We enjoyed how the space was separated from the main residence as well. Our group travel plans changed last minute, and we ended up needing a place when everything was already booked in town. Gene and Carrie were attending a lunch at the culinary school, got to talking, and within a few hours we had a place to stay!! God is good! :) They helped give us directions, and were very welcoming and helpful! Thanks again!!
We had a great time at Carrie's Guest Suite. Everything was very clean and the hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. Loved the peacefulness of staying there and would definitely book with them again.
This is a great place to stay in a beautiful home. Completely private with a separate entrance and beautiful furnishings.
This is a very nice, clean space in a well manicured environment. Carrie and her husband were very nice and welcoming and accommodated us with a very nice air mattress to sleep on in addition to the lovely bed for a night when my mother and I had to share the room. It's also an easy drive to the airport.
This place is great! Very spacious and comfy, the location is perfect to cool down after a day at sea. Mark and Carrie are very friendly and helpfull.
Highly recommend for a stay on Big Island
I felt like I was staying in a luxury resort in Mark and Carrie's Guest Suite. The suite was well appointed and had everything I needed, plus a few extra things! Their home is situated in a beautiful, quiet area, and I enjoyed sitting in their gorgeous garden watching the birds. Convenient for sight-seeing. Highly recommended.
Very clean and classy room with own shower. Expect to pay for hawaiian room tax. Very organized, professional and friendly. Recommended.
It was a great experience, great place and great advises we really want come back to this place it was great
My daughter and I had a lovely stay at Mark and Carrie's cottage. The addition to their home has a separate entrance to the two-room accommodation. You enter a short hallway which has separate doors for the mini-kitchen area (microwave, coffee maker, small fridge, basic dishes) and bathroom (separate little room for toilet, nice shower, sink with spacious vanity). The bedroom is a nice size, with small dining table in one corner and built-in desk in another. Large sliding glass doors look out on a well-manicured lawn with patio and sitting area (small table with chairs). The 1.5 acres are beautifully landscaped and well-kept. The only thing we found lacking was some lighting (small lamp) for the table area.
Mark and Carrie are kind, helpful and gracious people who do all possible to make their guests feel welcome. They provided freshly ground Kona coffee and fresh fruit. Sweet little dog, Liko, was an added perk.
Warning: driveways on the island are narrow and this one is no exception. I rented a huge car and had 'issues' going backwards down their curvy driveway. There is not enough room to turn around near the house with a large vehicle unless all other cars are gone. There is room to turn around at a mid-point where their drive Ys with a neighbor's.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in the higher elevation above Kona, where evenings are cool. Don't scoff at the warm quilt on the bed; in winter months you may need it. But be assured that Mark and Carrie will do everything possible to meet your needs.
Beautiful and spacious suite that is even bigger than it appears from the pictures. The bed was super comfy, and the kitchenette was well equipped. The entire property and neighborhood is very neat, and its location is just perfect for exploring Hawaii's west coast. I certainly recommend this place! Thank you Carrie and Mark!
