Bauduen - the village:
Stuck on a hillside on the shores of the St. Croix Lake of which it is THE village to visit, not only for its scenic landscape but also because it is an old typical Provencal village with stone houses and the narrow streets that will charm you.
There are also many possible excursions all around.
The famous Verdon Canyon (Pont du Galetas) => 26 kms
Moustiers Sainte Marie => 33 kms
Draguignan => 40 kms
Manosque => 60 kms
Aix en Provence => 100 kms
We enjoyed our 3 days stay in Bauduen very much, especially breakfasts at the terace facing the lake in the shadow of the tree of life. Appartment is functional and very private, nice beach is just 50 meters. We found out that aircondition was noisy and used ventilators instead, they were ok. The village is charming and there is plenty of activities around the lake. Just be aware that there can be some noise from the restaurant. Besides it was very warm in the living room since restaurants oven is placed just below heating the floors. But it is not a complain. Thanks a lot for the stay, it was great.
The stay was excellent. The apartment was clean, there were plenty of towels, tablecloth, sheets etc. With two children we appreciated the gates at the top of the stairs. The kitchen was sufficiently equipped for every meal we cooked (and we cooked most of our meals).
The location of the apartment is great, with the proximity to the beach, restaurants just downstairs and the little shop next door that sell everything from postcards, bathing shoes and hats to water, sausages and organic bread. Food was in small quantities, but still. It was worth looking in the small shop before taking the car to Aups just to buy something that was missed doing grocery shopping at the supermarket in Aups. We also enjoyed the Sunday market conveniently on the street just below the apartment.
We were so pleased, at the end of our five night stay, that our greatest wish was to stay another week.
Communication with Jacob was very smooth and he responded quickly to our messages. The description on how to find the apartment was easy to follow and it was straight forward information on how to get the keys.
Wow!! Most beautiful lake we've ever experienced!! The duplex was great and in a convenient location in the charming village of Bauduen! We enjoyed everything about our stay! It was such a quiet and relaxing oasis?
Appartement extrêmement bien équipé, rien ne manque ou presque (pas toujours envie de faire la vaisselle en vacances...).
Déco agréable, jolie terrasse. point négatif : un peu sombre à l'intérieur.
Disposition très pratique avec stationnements à proximité, plages à deux pas, commerces en-dessous.
Tout ça dans un joli village calme, mais bien vivant.
Jacob est très rapide et précis dans ses réponses. Rien à redire.
Bref tout pour passer un très bon séjour en famille !
Jacob's apartment is as listed, clean and tidy at a great location. Communication was very clear. Would definitely recommend.
Although didn't meet anyone at duplex, everything went perfectly. Instructions regarding location and keys were very precise. Great communications with Jacob throughout. Duplex was exactly as pictures show and very clean. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Nous avons passés un super weekend avec nos 2 enfants . Il y a une terrasse tres sympa pour les petits dejs , diners avec vue sur le lac qui est encore plus beau en vrai . L'appartement est bien fourni autant dans la cuisine que la salle de bain .Les chambres rien a redire ,tout tres bien. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir . De plus Jacob est tres rapide a repondre et l explication pour arriver au logement facilite vraiment l'arrivée . Encore Merci . Florent and co.
