About This Listing
This bright and stylish one double bedroom flat is situated on the 5th floor of the Empire Square contemporary development that was built in 2007. The apartment is laid out with a combined sitting room and kitchen, from which the bedroom is separated by a pleasant hallway, which provides a good amount of separation and privacy in someone is using the sofa bed. There are amazing floor-to-ceiling windows in the bedroom and living room/kitchen that really open up the space and provide a good amount of light. The windows lead out to two south facing balconies with an aspect onto Tabard Gardens. As mentioned, there's a comfortable sofa bed in the living room that can accomodate 2 more people.
There's a full kitchen with all the usual modcons for you to use at your leisure. The apartment also comes with full TV (with SkyTV) and free wifi. There's also a washer and dryer for your use.
Empire Square is located only 3 mins walk from Borough Tube Station and London Bridge (Tube and National Rail) is a further 5 mins walk.
Despite its central location the apartment is very quiet. The place is in a great area, being just a few steps away from The Shard and Borough Market. It's also incredibly safe and there's great tube access.
There is 24 hr concierge & security, a Soho Gym and a local supermarket within the development.
If you are arriving at the flat after 2200 and before 0630 the inner square will be closed. The entrances are still in use but can be easily accessed from the outside of the square.
I usually stay In the apartment Monday evening to Thursday morning which makes it homely but clutter free (I leave that in my home in Oxford!) It is therefore available every week from Thursday night to Monday morning, but please enquire if you need a day or two on either side as I'm very flexible and will try and accomodate you.
I would love you to enjoy my flat as much as I do and hope you respect it the same and leave it in the condition you found it in and report any breakages. It is in a residential block so please respect my neighbours so no loud music or parties!
Also please no smoking - thank you
We stayed for four days at Jane's flat in London. It was a wonderful experience. Jane's appartment is very nice located, very clean and well equipped. It has two small balconies which can be used to enjoy the sun. We haven't met Jane personally but she is a wonderful host. Everything was perfectly organized and she cares a lot about her guests. Immediately after arrival she sent us an email and asked if everything is OK. I definetly recommend this home and it's host.
We had the most wonderful time in London at Jane's. She made everything really easy and convenient for us 4 right from the start. She sent us a long email with the rules and map of access and we had the pleasure to find a range of guides about London on our arrival.
Her flat is really central and very well located in a quiet area with all the facilities (shops, pubs and bars, restaurants) around.
It was a pleasure to stay at her place and we will for sure ask her to come back next time we are in London, hoping her flat is available.
My family and I enjoyed our stay in Jane's flat tremendously. Jane was very kind and accommodating and was a clear and prompt communicator. The flat is beautiful, quiet, and has every amenity we needed. The size was just right for us; two adults and one 13-year-old. The layout is a great design; it enables people to be in the common room while someone has complete privacy and quiet in the bedroom. The airbnb photos don't do justice to how much wonderful light the flat has and they also don't show the flat's two delightful balconies. The view is quite peaceful; a little quadrangle park where people walk their dogs. The location is fabulous! A small grocery is downstairs, Borough Market is a short walk, and the tube stop is very close. Highly recommended.
Jane's apartment is very nice, just like it looks in the pictures. Also is very well located: close to the metro, a grocery store next door and many restaurants. We haven't met Jane but she was nice, responded our requests fast and left us a book full of tips to visit London. I would definitely recommend this host.
Jane is a wournderful person. She always answer all my questions so fast and send us perfect informations for London and a nice plan to find her flat very easy. Janes flat is very nice, clean and confortable. We spend there 3 nights. Ist great locatet to see london and very close to the undergroundstation. In summary, we had a really great weekend :). Thank you jane!
Spent two nights in Jane's comfortable flat when we arrived in London. The flat was very comfortable and clean, and exactly as represented on the site. Lovely views over a park from the balcony. Jane provided clear and detailed information on access to the flat, which was extremely useful. Jane advised using entrance 3 - this is the best entrance with lift access to the 5th floor, unlike an entrance recommended by concierge where we had to take stairs from 4th to 5th floor carrying suitcases.
Jane was always very prompt in her response to emails, and this was much appreciated! Wi-fi access was excellent, and there were also lots of brochures and books on local attractions available to browse. Access to the Shard, the Borough Market and attractions along the waterfront was very easy. Would very happily stay at this flat again- thank you Jane!
