This newly renovated, luxurious yet intimate apartment complex is packed with amenities that will leave you wondering if you are staying at the Westin or a W Hotel as you pull in to an entrance with lighted royal palms at this exclusive Marina del Rey address. Extremely romantic, peaceful, and quiet yet close (10 min from LAX airport) to Santa Monica/Venice and accessible to freeway access that will get you anywhere in L.A.
Whether staying in Los Angeles for business or pleasure, you will be centrally located and a short distance to nearly every major attraction the city has to offer all while enjoying an ocean marina view. So centrally located in fact, that the StarLine Tours Hop-on Hop-off double decker tour bus drive past our place and just added a stop next door to us at the Fisherman' Village so that you can easily and affordably explore L.A. Treat your inner child to a day at Disneyland, or for a more adrenaline packed day, ride 100+mph roller coasters at Magic Mountain. To surf, hop on the Pacific Coast Highway as you drive along the coast of Santa Monica to catch some waves on Malibu Beach then later stop by Santa Monica's famous 3rd Street Promenade for a bite to eat and some shopping. For the glamorous side of L.A., get pictures of the Hollywood sign before hitting up Universal Studios then walk along the stars and handprints of Hollywood's famous actors along Hollywood Boulevard before finishing off the night clubbing on Sunset Boulevard. If you feel like staying local in Marina del Rey, rent a bike, catch the local bus or short cab/car ride to the nearby action packed areas such as Venice Beach, The Santa Monica Pier, or Abbot Kinney (in Venice) where you can sip an artisanal latte; keep your eyes peeled while celebrity spotting at Inteligensia Coffee where the best baristas are poached from around the country.
This new apartment is loaded with all high-end amenities to guarantee you and your guests a comfortable stay. We listed the apartment as accommodating 2, but if you have children or extra guests in your party, we have an elevated dual layer, Queen size self-inflating air bed mattress topped with Sateen sheets and hypoallergenic down alternative comforter. Finish your evening off with a glass of wine while sitting in a cabana enjoying the sunset view over the ocean water.
From the marina's ocean water view from our balcony you can dine al fresco on a 100+ foot patio while surfing the internet over a secure high-speed WiFi connection, relax and read a book, use the new Masterbuilt smoker to prepare lunch or head downstairs to bbq or take a dip in the complex's heated pool for year round swimming or if you are feeling adventurous, rent a paddle board next door to say hello to the neighborhood seals. You will be located just a few hundred feet from Fisherman's Village that has many amazing restaurant choices, bicycle rentals (great for peddling own to the Venice and Santa Monica boardwalk), fishing tours, as well as daylight and nighttime party and romantic sunset yacht cruises. Interaction with guests
I love interacting with our guests and giving suggestions or tips for the area to those interested to those interested in learning a little more about where the locals go in the Los Angeles area.
It has all the conveniences of living in Los Angeles as we are still close to everything and are blessed to have are own (near empty = no traffic) freeway in/out of Marina del Rey. This makes it easy to come and go as we please. As you drive down Fiji Way into our neighborhood you will notice it becomes unusually peaceful, calm, spacious and quiet; it is the perfect spot to come home to and unwind to escape all the fun busyness of L.A.
Yes, the local city bus stops by our place as well as the Red Line Tourism buses if you want to skip the traffic and tour the city of Los Angeles via hop on/hop off bus.
Other things to note
This particular area is unusually peaceful and undeveloped/rural-looking compared to the rest of L.A. thanks to the protected wetlands here that are home to the endangered Blue Heron bird.

Like many of you, we love to travel. We are all about trying out new things and going to new places and meeting new faces. We looked high and low for our home and after 12 years of living in L.A. I think we found the most peaceful place to return to after a fun day in the city. Stephanie grew up as a traveler in an expatriate family in Indonesian and Singapore as a child and moved to Florida for high school and then Seattle, Washington for college; her boyfriend grew up in Phoenix, Arizona until he was 15 and moved to Salem, Oregon before moving to Eugene, Oregon for college.
We can't live without new adventures, our laptops, iPhones, dessert and at all costs avoiding ordering from plastic laminated menus at chain restaurants.
Favorite movies (this is constantly changing as I LOVE movies): The Big Lebowski, Shawshank Redemption, Step Brothers, Usual Suspects, Amores Perros, etc. Also must include some TV: Game of Thrones and Homeland.
