I am new to AirBnB and heading to Australia for the month of December. I have a cozy apartment, a great roommate, and I am looking to rent my room while I am away.
One bedroom for temporary sublet in two bedroom apartment available December 4-January 2.
The Room is 12x12, has tall ceilings and is fully furnished with a dresser, desk, and double bed. It has two southern exposure windows so it gets great light. Would be perfect for an intern or student - Columbia, Barnard, Columbia Medical, etc. Also would serve as a good Christmas / Holiday rental. Sheets and towels are also available.
My roommate is an architecture graduate student at Columbia and he will be here throughout the month.
The Apartment is a pre-war walk-up located on 109th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam. It is a one block walk to the 1 train and three blocks to the B/C. You can be at Times Square in about 15 minutes or the Columbia medical campus in 20. It has hardwood floors, good light throughout (especially in the bedrooms), well stocked eat-in kitchen, and a living room with flat screen TV. Wireless internet, cable, and phone are provided. Laundry options are plentiful - in the basement as well as a good laundromat around the corner. The lease stipulates no pets and the apartment is smoke free.
The neighborhood has Duane Reade, several grocery stores, hardware, restaurants (Hungarian Pastry Shop!), bars, great brunch spots, St. John's Cathedral, Riverside Church, Grant's Tomb - all a quick walk down Broadway or Amsterdam. It's also a located near Riverside Park, Morningside Park, and Central Park.
The bedroom will be yours for the month and the living room, kitchen, and bath will be shared. My roommate is great, clean, courteous and very friendly. I want him to still like me when I return, so you should be the same!
I will provide clean sheet and towels and clean the apartment after you leave. Feel free to use the kitchen as cooking a few meals in is a great way to save money in NYC.
Stay here and you could give this host their first review!
I am a preservationist working at an architecture firm to preserve NYC architecture. I've been in the city for the past six years. I will be away, but you'll be sharing the apartment with my roommate, who is a practicing architect back in school at Columbia.
