Storical house with high ceilings and beautiful doors. The spacious, bright apartment, fully equipped with everything necessary for living - WiFi, cozy kitchen, 3 bedrooms each of one has its own private bathroom.
In september 2012 famous italian director Paolo Sorrentino shooted his new film ("La Grande Bellezza") in this appartment.
The quarter Salario goes back to 1911, its name comes from the Salaria Way, named so by Romans as it was used to carry salt from the sea to the Sabina region. The architecture of its buildings is elegant and it's a very "green" area: the beautiful Villa Borghese Park with its museums and zoo inside, Villa Torlonia, Villa Paganini and Villa Albani parks.
Besides the Aurelian Walls, there are roman archeological finds as Horti Sallustiani, the grave of the poet Sulpicius Maximus, a hipogean temple, the Lucilio Peto Mausoleum.
Even though it is the smallest quarter in Rome in its area there are many important institutions as Ministries, Universities, Polyclinic, Embassies. The Museum of Contemporary Art (MACRO) and many Art Galleries have turned the Salario quarter an artistic point of reference.
The Salario is adjacent to Parioli, Pinciano, Trieste and Nomentano quarters.
The apartment is located in central Rome, near (15-20 min. by step or 5 min. by bus) the railway station Termini. The nearest metro station Policlinico (Line B, The blue line), bus stops Nomentana / Regina Margherita and V.le Regina Margherita / Nizza. On the ground floor apartment is located a comfortable family cafe Contrucci. At 100 meters from the house there are 2 supermarkets and the old food market. Restaurants I Butteri, Itoya (Japanese cuisine), Fiesta Y Siesta (Mexican food), Villa Paganini. Sights nearby - Museum of Contemporary Art MACRO, parks, Villa Albani, Villa Torlonia, Villa Borghese.

Perfect room, all as described and very comfortable with the ensuite bathroom. Excellent value for money.
Superbe! Merci! Accès à facile à tout.
Good location, near a such a great chinese restaurant, italian restaurant:), gelato ice cream store and couple of super markets. Irina is very friendly and helpful, offering a map and information. Our room is spacious, comfortable and warm. The kitchen is also big and is followed a laundry room which is great.
We spent 5 days in Irina's flat (Orchidea room) and had a very nice time in it.
The apartment is very clean with all necessary things for a nice stay (hair dryer, iron, washing machine,...) and the kitchen is at your disposal which can be nice for a longer stay (there are all necessary things to cook !).
The room looks exactly like it is in the pictures, so we had no bad surprises...
As for Irina herself, we did not see her much but she was very flexible (arrival / departure time), which we highly appreciated. She was also responsive and would always reply to us very quickly. It made our stay far simpler :)
We arrived on the 31th of December so Irina told us about the special schedule for the metro and buses on that evening and about the location of all transport facilities in the neighbourhood.
The neighbourhood itself is very quiet, there are many supermarkets around and a veery good "gelateria" downstairs.
Last but not least, Irina nicely left us a bottle of Asti and a Happy New year card: nice thought!
There is no breakfast provided (but Irini recommend us a place that is downstairs) and the bathroom is not accessible from the bedroom but we had a very comfortable stay nevertheless (none of these 2 points bothered us actually) and highly recommend Irina' B&B!
A nice journey in Roma.
Irina was nice and very reassuring during my booking phase on airbnb.
You can trust on Irina.
The flat was as described.
A good experience!
My stay at Irina's was great. Irina met me at the apartment. She has prepared maps of public transportation and lists of local restaurants, grocery stores and atms for me. The room was a good size and was very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. Everything was easily accessible via the public transportation that was close by. Irina provided slippers to me, which was great since I hadn't thought about the floor being tile. There was also a hairdryer, which I hadn't been expecting. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
The apartment was as in the photos: very spacious and clean and very well located. The ice-cream parlor just downstairs is also very convenient :)
Irina was a nice host and she was always available if I needed to contact her for any reason. This is definitely an excellent choice for a stay in Rome!
Staying at Irina's was great. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Irina was helpful and even bought me a bottle of bubbles as it was my birthday - hostess with the mostess!
We had a great time staying there and it has easy walking distance to the centre, the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it could be a bit noisy in the evenings.
