The Graduate Hospital neighborhood was named by Thrillist as America's most hipster neighborhood, and Philadelphia magazine touted the neighborhood as rivaling similar neighborhoods in Brooklyn New York such as Williamsburg New York City. As a result of its close proximity to the ritzy Rittenhouse Square, the neighborhood has recently become a revitalized neighborhood in the city in which artists, young professionals and even politicians are buying homes driving prices up, and new restaurants and cafes are sprouting up at a rapid rate. Forbes magazine in 2013 named the area’s zip code of 19146 as the fastest growing zip code in all of America.

Krista and J.R.'s place was very spacious and comfortable. It is nice and chick, I enjoyed staying here very much.
The place came with private bathroom with bathtub and jet bath.
Additionally, since there was no one using it, I also got to use the den, which was perfect for me.
The place is about 15 minutes south of city center but there is an indego (bike-sharing system newly introduced to Philadelphia) station 2 blocks away from their place, which made commuting very easy.
Sumiko was a great guest at our place in Philadelphia. She left her space very clean, and we had no negative issues. Sumiko was also very independent, responded quickly to communications as well as able to get around everywhere in the city of Philadelphia on her own which can be sometimes intimidating to out of towners. I would recommend her.
Krista and JR were relaxed and helpful hosts. They made us feel very welcome and it was also nice to be met by Oscar, the extremely friendly dog. The room was nicely set up, and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was large, and we felt like we had plenty of privacy during our stay. It was easy to get downtown either via the subway or by foot.
The American Sardine Bar which is literally around the corner was a great place to relax and enjoy some fantastic food and drinks. It has a great atmosphere. I suspect if we lived in this area, we would be (email hidden)!
Krista and J.R. were great hosts to my parents who were visiting the country for the first time. Their apt is really nice and cozy for a couple. Plus, the puppy-Oscar pretty much seals the deal. I'd recommend this place to my friends coming from out of town.
We stay five day in phily and krista's room was perfect! Clean and noiseless. Krista ans her husband are really welcoming and friendly ! Krista's house is located close to downtown.
The Urban B&B Oasis is a must if you are visiting Philly! Krista and JR are terrific hosts! My husband and I had a great experience and it was super easy to get where we needed to go. The bus stop is one short one-block walk away and in 10-15 min you can be at the steps of the convention center. The room was inviting with a bright and welcoming atmosphere, plenty of space and a cheery "jazz-inspired" decor. And oh my! The sheets were divine!
from J.R.---> I really enjoyed having you and Rolf stay at our place. Rolf's life story is a wonderful inspiring story. His life story is a testament to the human spirit and a shining example the will for survival, perseverance and human kindness. I hope the world can hear his life story it is truly inspiring. Maybe we can all get together in Amsterdam or Canada. Please keep in touch you two. Cheers.
Awesome home, very comfortable. Krista and her husband are very friendly people and very welcoming. The neighborhood can be a little intimidating, I'd think twice about walking around at night.
Krista and JR were great--they responded to our last-minute request and greeted us warmly on a cold Philly night. The bedroom was lovely, and we felt like we had a lot of privacy on the second floor all to ourselves. The location was great--close enough to everything we wanted to see, but with street parking actually possible. Thanks for the hospitality!
