  • Overall a great house with a lovely view over the lake where Woodstock revelers skinny-dipped back in 1969. While the house is a little worn around the edges, Bob was very responsive and promptly fixed several broken light bulbs and other minor annoyances after we texted him. It's proximity to the concert venue and museum at Bethelwoods is also a major plus -- you can walk (it's almost a mile away) or drive like 2 minutes down the road.

  • Our stay at Robert's lakehouse was an unforgettable one. We needed a nice, quiet getaway for a larger group of people that had activities available for everyone, and his house provided just that. There was a large space to play backyard games plus the floating dock with the boats was a huge hit. The lake is beautiful, clean and quiet. The house was very clean and there was plenty of space for everyone. Robert was extremely helpful and only a phone call away if anything was needed. We couldn't find the kayaks and he came over immediately with 2 brand new ones and even took the trash we had already accumulated. We loved our stay here and would definitely stay again.

  • He was wonderful and the house was better than expected. We had a difficulty with another listing and AirBnB had to book us at a last minute listing. Robert was kind enough to accomidate us late in the evening. The house was big, beautiful, comfortable, clean, lots of windows and even changing rooms in both upstairs masters; you could wake up looking at the lake from each bedrooms french doors, to your own private balconies. The main floor also had a balcony across the whole back of the house. The downstairs...had the weather not been so perfect, would have gotten alot more use with the pinball machines, foosball table and much much more. Did I mention we were fortunite enough to be at the house when Lady Antebellum was at the Arts Center(a 2min walk away) and sat on our balcony listening to the whole concert as it bounced off the lake and right onto the balcony and our own private show. The upstairs huge jacuzzi tub and chandelier above it were a nice surprise.

  • Great house! Just as described. Plenty of kitchen basics for preparing meals. Host was very easy to reach by phone. Recommend!

  • Thank you Bob for helping us host our family for Thanksgiving. The accomodations were wonderful - more than enough space and very clean. You can't beat the location and the beautiful view.

Looking forward to renting it again. Being that we live on the road and can never accomodate everyone, this is a wonderful alternative.

  • To sum it up we had an amazing time from start to finish..
We had to call Bob in the beginning for something minor and it was taken care of almost immediately.. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here whether it was a group of adults or a large family. There was something for everyone. We will be back soon :)

  • This place is the ultimate bachelor pad: huge TV, kayaks, beautiful dock, grill, enormous poster of Shania Twain, gold records on the walls, lots of sleeping space. As you might expect from a bachelor pad, it's a little run down with missing lights bulbs, loose door hinges, some non-functioning burners on the grill, etc. (though perhaps that's because we came late in the busy summer season), and has an unconventional selection of kitchen supplies (e.g. no coffee grinder or food processor, but there was an enormous machine devoted solely to the task of making margaritas). We were mostly a bunch of guys, so the bachelor pad feel worked well for us and we had a blast. We walked down to Bethel Woods, kayaked and swam off the dock, and grilled lots of meat on the grill. Would definitely recommend the place to others. Also, we were a bit worried about the lack of AC, but found that even when the days were hot, the nights cooled down nicely and the interior stayed cool enough through the day (there are fans as well). Robert was helpful too!

  • I traveled with a group of 8 this past weekend to the house for the Zac Brown Band concert, and it was an unbelievable experience. Having traveled just 1.5 hours from Manhattan, our group arrived at 9 PM on a Thursday night and stayed to Sunday. The bedrooms were massive upstairs, and the shared bathroom was beautiful and included a massive tub.

The main floor features an awesome entertainment setup, great for our group, the speakers were nice and loud and the layout was great as there is an island in the kitchen for people to hang around. Off to the side is the bunk room, which sleeps 5 comfortably, simple and clean room, linens included. We spent most of our time at the lake, which was AMAZING. The paddle boat, kayaks, bikes, lawn chairs and water toys were all put to use, this was our favorite park. The house is about a 15 minute walk from the venue, very easy. Theres a few market places around the town, a few great breakfast spots, and a Walmart 10 miles away where we stocked up on beer and food.

If youre traveling with a group larger than 5, bring towels, shampoo, a few rolls of toilet paper and paper towels.

We loved our stay, and will be back soon for sure!

  • Great house on a beautiful and peaceful lake. Perfect for our escape from the city for July 4th weekend. We loved getting out on the kayaks and making full use of the BBQ. Would definitely recommend staying here and given the opportunity would love to stay again.
