Toucan Lodge is ideally placed for visiting the Iguazu Falls in both Argentina and Brazil and easily accessible from both airports.
The accommodation is an independent 1 bedroom cabaña style chalet located within the Lodge which has a large swimming pool set within 2 acres of gardens.
The Lodge has an abundance of fruit trees, including avocado, orange, lemon, grapefruit, papaya, mulberry and bananas. Toucan Lodge is in a country setting close to the centre of Puerto Iguazu (5 mins by taxi or a short trip by bus) and just outside the National Park (Arg) where the Iguazu Falls are located (a 20 minute drive or bus ride as the Falls are 15km inside the park).
The chalet has a bedroom with double bed (or two singles), living room with a sofa (bed), coffee table, table, chairs, refrigerator, kettle and you have your own private bathroom. Outside there are BBQ facilities that guests can use, as well as tables and chairs to relax in the garden or by the swimming pool. Free WiFi is available!
We are a short trip to the border crossing with Brazil and about 25 minutes drive to the airports in Brazil (Iguassu Falls Airport in Foz do Iguacu) and here in Argentina (Cataratas del Iguazu Intl Airport, Puerto Iguazu). Ciudad del Este in Paraguay is about 40 minutes away.
If you wish to use local buses to go to the Iguazu Falls or pop into the small town of Puerto Iguazu for shops, restaurants etc we are only 300m from the bus stop where services are cheap and regular. Local trips by taxi are very reasonably priced.
A regular daily bus service will also take you to visit the Brazilian side of the Falls and the Parque Das Aves (Bird Park).
We live on site at the Lodge and will be delighted to assist you in planning your trip and helping you out once you are here !!!

We had a fabulous stay at the Toucan. Lodge. Danny was very welcoming on arrival, gave us lots of information about visiting the falls and called taxis for us when we asked. The cabana was super clean, spacious and comfy and the breakfast great. Relaxing surroundings, wish we had more time there! Would highly recommend.
The Lodge was just as described and not far from the bus route to the Falls. Danny was helpful and gave us a map of the area with suggestions about trips from the town and local attractions. The cabin was comfortable, including the bed and sofa. The expectation was that we ate in town so there were just enough cutlery for two and only a jug kettle and microwave, but the breakfast was sufficient and catered for a range of tastes. The pool and gardens were great and a wonderful place to chill between amazing experiences of the falls. We also enjoyed the tree houses at Aripuca and the point where three countries meet in Puerto Iguaçu.

Lovely tranquil place with we'll looked after garden and swimming pool.Slightly out of town but Danny very willing to get taxis. 40 pesos to town or the bus for 4 pesos.
This place is awesome!
My husband and I had a fantastic 3 night stay at Toucan Lodge! The lodges have all basic amenities needed and are set in beautiful grounds with some amazing wildlife noises and a much welcomed pool after a hot day walking around the falls!
Danny personally met us when we arrived and was incredibly helpful and welcoming (regularly ordering cabs for us, giving us a map and tips for visiting the falls), his wife delivered a lovely fresh breakfast to the room each day and overall we had a great stay!
Would recommend Toucan Lodge to anyone visiting the falls!
Toucan lodge is a fabulous place to stay when visiting Puerto Iguazu. The lodge was well maintained, the grounds beautiful, and the rooms clean with a rustic feel. Danny was a great help to us . He helped us figure out what to see at Iguazu Falls, as well as good places to eat. He was always available and even helped us with arranging taxis. I would definitely recommend this place!
Hi, Danny was a great host and helped with organising taxi and day trip to the falls. Thanks also for the recommendation of the El Quincho restaurant.
Lovely lodge, spacious and clean and surrounded by large garden with fruit trees. Had a lovely breakfast of fresh fruit juice, fresh fruits, ham and cheese, toast and hot chocolate on sunny terrace overlooking the pool.
Super host who picked us up himself when the arranged transport was unable to do so. He gave us a quick tour of the town, recommended places to eat and even took care of our forex needs in the absence of banks nearby.
Lodge is well located between the town and the Iguazzu Falls and there is a direct bus to both these places.
Highly recommend Danny's lodge to all visitors to the Falls.
CP & Ivy,
Great place to stay, and Danny was very helpful for the falls trip. Breakfast was brought to our room every morning, though it is served around 8:15am, so if you want to get to the falls earlier, you should let him know in advance.
It's a bit out of the way from Puerto Iguazu though, sort of in the middle of no where (near Aripuca). I would rather have stayed a bit closer, especially during dinner time after a long day at the falls. But all in all, a good location and price.
My mother and I were completely satisfied with our stay in Toucan Lodge. Hosts - Danny Evans and his wife - were very helpful and friendly. The place is very nice and calm, it is good situated not far from the National Park. I would recommend Toucan Lodge to all who wants to visit Puerto Iguazu.
