Susan's place is really special. It's beautifully decorated and very unique. Susan is also very special - she goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and at home in her house. She also helped tremendously with recommendations and logistic support. It was a great spot for our family to start our trip in Ireland.

Outstanding! Susan's was extremely helpful and quick to respond when planning for our Dublin stay. More than just information on her house and neighborhood, she provided advice and helped us set up all our tourist plans. We were 7 people and the house was perfect for us for our week long stay. Lots of room for everyone, plenty to do in the house when we were home, and a great ability for the younger folks to play late into the night upstairs when the early sleepers went to bed on the bottom floor. Clothes washer /dryer and dishwasher were a big bonus. Enough hair-care and bathing products to keep twenty long-haired women happy for a month. Plenty of goodies in the fridge (gotta LOVE cold "welcome Guinness") meant we were in no rush to get to the market. Fully stocked with spices and cooking needs of every kind. We loved the location. By the second night we were already honorary-locals in The Hole In The Wall pub, and were quickly familiar with near-by 2 more local pubs and a modern "bar" as well as some very nice restaurants. Hole In The Wall has a legit chef and the restaurant side is fantastic. The Halfway House pub serving food until 2300 (and a nice breakfast value too) was a bonus for tourists making some long days. An easy walk into Dublin proper, we enjoyed going down through Phoenix Park, or just ring/text Susan's drivers and they'll pick you all up together for the cost as a bus. This was a great option at the end of a full day walking around and earning some tired feet. Very quiet neighborhood, actually overlooks the park, when it came time for sleeping. This is a highly recommended property and we look forward to returning!

We were 2 families of 4 people: 2 17 year old girls, 2 14 year old boys n 2 sets of parents. Susan was very nice, thorough n hospitable. She has every toiletry imaginable available as well as plenty of towels she even had enough food for full breakfasts when we arrived. We were coming from Scotland on way to Boston for a few days n didn't have much planned. Susan arranged for airport pick up as she works with a couple of drivers. Bob was our driver. Between Bob n Dusan they gave us great suggestions n where to spend our few days. Bob gave us a mini tour of Dublin n he was wonderful. Her location was perfect for us right next to Phoenix Park away from center which was what we wanted. The walk to the train was a bit longer than expected but very doable. The Hole in the Wall n Cominsky's restaurants few minutes away n both delicious n very convenient. I highly recommend this house for big families. The pool table was a huge hit with the kids.

My family absolutely loved everything about Susan's home and the community in which it sits. We traveled to Dublin as a family of 12 (2 grandparents, 4 adults, 2 college girls, 4 boys ages 12, 11, 10, 7) and we were so happy to have the opportunity to stay together as a family instead of getting two, or even three separate places. This was important to us and it became a reality when we booked with Susan. Susan is a wonderful host. She took her time in making sure we were well taken care of and provided great recommendations. A lightly stocked fridge, fresh bread, and some cereals for the kids was perfect for breakfast in the mornings and in those moments when snacks were needed and we had not yet made it to the local grocery to pick up a few items. Susan also provided much more than just a place to stay - she greatly added to our enjoyable time in Dublin. All of us truly enjoyed where her home was situated - in a quiet part of town. We enjoyed the 2-5 minute walks in the mornings to the local bakery (fresh bread and pastries were excellent), the pub right down the street "Hole in the Wall", and adjacent to her backyard, Phoenix Park that is home to wonderful play areas for the kids, walking/running paths, and a very nice Zoo that is worth visiting, regardless of your age. But it does not end there; on her "team" is Bob - our main source of transportation while staying at Susan's. He took us around everywhere, starting with picking us up at the airport. He took us near and far into Dublin, to Tayto Park, to anywhere we needed to go. He was extremely fair with his rates and was much more than just a driver. He provided great recommendations as well - including a gaelic football game (which happened to be a finals game) between Dublin v Kildare. It is one of those experiences among a few during our visit that was not planned prior, that was recommended, and that we would not have otherwise enjoyed. And if you prefer to use the bus or train, that is also a walk away from Susan's place. We highly recommend staying at Susan's place, whether you are a group of 4 or 12, you will not regret your selection. If you are looking for an authentic Ireland experience, meeting and talking with the Irish people, enjoying their slow pace of life and gaining experiences that only staying in an Air B&B can give you, this is the place for you! Don't hesitate and book it!

Above an Beyond!! ALL I can say is it was a lovely house ,perfectly suited for the 3 generations of family (11 of us ranging in age from 75 to 8) that stayed.. A very short taxi ride to city center, and well situated to Phoenix Park which was perfect for the kids....Susan is a lovely person who helped out with grand information and above expectation service...we all came in from the USA an had extra long travel times due to weather issues, she was very accommodating which helped start the journey for our extended family on the right note....We also can not say enough about Susan's fellows that drove us about town the guys were just super (we really loved em, Robbie & Jimmie impressed us all) , loved the insiders touch so we felt almost like locals rather than just Yankees out visiting the ancestral home.....We are already plotting our next trip and can not wait to get back and stay here again....... PS Please If ya all visit the Hole in the Wall .....have 'one for the ditch' for my Brother who now thinks of he place as his local!

The entire experience was excellent. Susan goes beyond the call to be a fantastic hostess. She looks after all guests from all ages. Made sure we were looked after the second we stepped into the Dublin airport. She has an arrangement with many drivers that are incredible. Always on time, personable and full of helpful advice. Maps, dinner, store recommendations. I could go on and on. We were driven by Robbie throughout Dublin. He also took us to Galway for over nighter. Could have been more pleasant and stress free. Our entire family had many laughs with both Susan and Robbie. When we return to Dublin, we will be sure to sign up for the Susan's program. To sum up, Susan and team provide not just a place to sleep, but a warm home with concierge services that look after her guests to make sure they have an excellent travel experience.

Hi there, I'm Susan. I live on the edge of the Phoenix Park, Dublin and couldn't wish for a better place to live. We're close enough to town to enjoy and appreciate everything our city has to offer, yet only have to look out our windows at the glorious park views to feel far removed from the hustle and bustle. I've had wonderful experiences as an AirBnB guest on breaks to cities such as London, New York and Barcelona, and decided it would be fun to try hosting for a change! I believe Dublin is one of the most characterful, vibrant cities in the world and will be more than happy to assist in every way possible to make your visit to our charming city an exciting, effortless, unforgettable experience. ;-)
